Summary: This is a good sounding system but not cheap especially when you must spend about $150 extra for a subwoofer from Yamaha which DOES NOT turn on and off with the sound bar - very annoying. Two other negatives: the VCR input produces a weak sound unless you double the volume control; and all input connections are located on the bottom(yes, bottom) of the sound bar with a slot for the wires to bend 90 degrees to exit out the back - no room for larger connectors.
Ok if you are pressed for space and don't like wires.

Summary: Using this with a 46" Samsung LCD. Better sound than built-in speakers by far, but even with a subwoofer, not what you can call close to full-range, clear sound and very subtle surround effect. Useful if you don't want to take up space and run wires for true surround.
Excerpt: I wanted to buy it as well. But when I've seen it in the shop, I've changed my mind Because it looks chunky and quite simple. You need a special place at home to put it as well because you can't keep moving because of weight. However the quality is amazing. So if you've room for it definitely worth buying.
