Of the two on-wall single speaker designs here, the Yamaha offers greatest value for money, superb Room EQ and, unusually, surround sound that improves the higher the reverb and reflection characteristics of your listening environment. This device is just asking to be installed in a warehouse-style apartment with bare painted walls, laminate floor and an LCD TV on the wall. Read more

We have always been pleased with the Yamaha YSP product line - sound quality is excellent, though they are on the more expensive end of the scale for this product category. Integrates well with 3rd party control systems. Looks good. One comment, this product arrived slightly damaged - grill dented - though it was easier to pay the $50 locally to have it repaired than to go through the process of RMA. Read more

I purchased the Yamaha YSP800 Silver on a last years model shelf at a local electronic store for 200.00. Best money spent. I have it set up with a 200 watt Sony subwoofer and holy#$%# it rocks. My kids thought an Earthquake derailed a train and it was crashing into our family room. Easy set up for rip your face off sound!!!!!! Read more

We originally heard the YSP1000 at the Bristol HIfi Show in late 2003, and, as usual at these shows the situation wasn't the best with all the noise of the other speakers etc, but it did seem to give a good performance... not quite surrond... i.e. from directly behind you, but certainly nearly there. • Absolutely needs a subwoofer for real movie bass effects

This is one of the smallest and greatest contribution to all of us who want a great (And I meen truly great sound) but aren`t to keen on showing of our flat screen as a centerpiece. Hides anywere and gives you a performance that even the larger auditorium would be proud of. Go buy! Read more
