Great Sound Travels Everywhere, Not Just To The Sweet Spot
70 One, Yamaha
25 October 2015
Summary: Forget about a wired system. I had a high end complete 5.1 DVD/sound system and very little of substance ever came out of the two wired rear speakers anyway. That is the way they are designed to work. I donated mine to charity when I bought the YSP 3300.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV
Excerpt: effortless set-up ... mounted unit in a tough room - one side open to another room, the other side a kitchen area with a diffuse 'wall'. The subwoofer not real ideally placed either, but ... ran the auto cal and ta-da, it sounds great.
Summary: Considering the nature of the Yamaha YSP 3300 as a soundbar, I think the surround effect is quite remarkable. Setup was easy enough, the sound quality is very good on movie/TV programs. The stereo music quality is pretty good but movies are the vehicle through which this really shines.
Pros: For limited space an excellent choice.
Setup pretty simple.
Good surround effects
Excerpt: I just love it.Great for tv Great with my receiver(also Yamaha). Great sound and music. I waited 2 months before buying because there is not much of a reviews.I took the risk and I'm very happy with it No problem with setup, but I will need couple of hours to reset it manualy because of a add room...
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: Installed my YSP-3300 to replace a pair of Phase Tech speakers. While not as robust as a surround system, this sound projector blows away my previous AVR/speaker combo. Excellent, accurate sound. Easy to install. MANY inputs allows elimination of AVR.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Great Sound Quality
Summary: I've not had a chance to install the sound bar yet so can't comment on the sounds quality, but my buying experience was excellent. After calling several stores to track down the model I wanted I can say that everyone I spoke to was very helpful.
Summary: Bought to replace an ageing 5.1 surround system with separate speakers, to try and save space and improve sound quality over an old unit. Very happy with the sound from this, obviously not quite the same surround effect as a system with speakers behind you but creates a good surround effect...
Pros: no trailing wires , loads of ports (hmdi optical coax etc) , simple to set up , excellent sound quality , saves space vs traditional surround system
Cons: soundbar is quite large (wide) , nothing much!
