Summary: requires a lot of wires considering it is supposed to be for stream lining your home theatre. no hdmi big negative in this day and age. spectacular sound quality though. just depends whats important to you.
Summary: For those who want their house to sound like a true movie theater, this may not be the system for you. What I can say is I have no desire to run wires to the back of the room for rear speakers and this sound projecter kept me from doing so. It as quick to install, it is completely self contained, and the sound quality is good. I use for both television and listening to music. The only issue I can say I have, is the volume is a little low when used as a home stereo.
Summary: I really like this sound system in my room. The surround function works well when I have all my doors and drapes closed. The My Beam function is very useful because I like to play the TV loud and not bother the other people in the house. I also use the steady sound mode so the volume stays pretty consistent from channel to channel.
Summary: This is a great product! It performs as advertised and I am very pleased with my purchase. It is a great improvement over my standard TV speakers. Having said that, it's performance is definitely enhanced by being hooked up to my existing subwoofer. And be sure, if you already have a great surround sound system, this product will not produce sound of quality as good. It will however, remove the clutter of the many wires and speaker space needed in your room.
Summary: A sterling performer with unbelievable and varied output. Wish it came with HDMI outputs. Setup could be easier and not by discovering ways to set up.All in all excellent valuable addition to my home theater room constrained by space.
Summary: I am looking to assemble a HDTV, Blu-Ray player and speaker set that will last me for the next 3 - 5 years. I was initially drawn to this speaker based on reviews, but have one question. It is my impression that the speaker itself is awesome, but that the lack of an HDMI in/out compromises the potential of the speaker to deliver the best sound from an HD source.
Summary: We wanted to add big sound to our new HD TV but didn't want to run wires under the carpeting (or hire someone to go into baseboards and walls). So, when we heard the Yamaha digital sound projector the first time we knew it was a winner. We have a big room so the big Yamaha with 40 speakers and 2 woofers was the solution. Also had to add the Yamaha sub-woofer to get the full range of sound. Easy to hook up and adjust using the instructions.
If looks are more important than surround sound...

Summary: ....then buy this enclosure. I have it and like it, but frankly the sound dosen't seem to come from anywhere but right in front of me (no side, rear etc). However given my displeasure at looking at my old setup (5.1, sub, speaker stands, wires all over)I've got to say I don't mind. For the money, ease of setup and the lack of clutter I'd recommend it. If you're an audiophile please pass.
