Summary: From my computer building days I always knew that integrated was Not the way to go if you want to maximize performance, but for some reason (mainly all the positive reviews and minimalist design) I went against my better judgement and purchased this Yamaha YHT system.
Summary: I picked this up on a crazy discount since they were introducing the new model but I'm very happy with it. I'm a sound buff, had a minimum of 5.1 ever since I bought my first HDTV back in 2003. Onkyo receivers, but then I got married. Then I got kids. Things changed.
OK for many or most, but doesn't work well for my needs

Summary: I bought this for a second TV in a bedroom. I have a higher-end built-in surround sound system including a Yamaha receiver in my living room. That living room receiver has "pass-through standby" or standby pass-through, which is to say that, when the receiver isn't on, the TV speakers still produce...
Summary: I bought this SoundBar after reading multiple reviews and comparing other products. I actually bought this because I had an Onkyo 7.1 System in my Condo and wanted something simple and small to take up less space etc. The Yamaha System is as the other reviewers say plenty Loud for a small space.
Summary: Great product for a great price. The main sound bar is only a little better than the speakers that come with a 55" Vizio 3d LED. But: 1) It is better than typical LED TV speakers 2) You want cinema type sound? You need base from a sub-woofer. This system has that base.
Summary: I have owned this for about 6 months now and it has been doing a great job as an all around receiver and sound system. It is super easy to install and hook up all sorts of things to it. I have my TV, Blue Ray player, Xbox, and Wii. It puts out fantastic sound and it gets LOUD if you want it to be.
Summary: Adjust your expectations for this sexy little unit and I think you will be pleased. My viewing room is 15' X 15' and only has half-walls at the back. The system sounds very good when we moved the couch to within ten feet.
Summary: OK. I know that I can't blame Yamaha for the rest of the market being so expensive. I feel that this unit should be around $200. But, having heard the reviews on the other $150--200 soundbars, I decided instead to spend $300 for something that I wouldn't be disappointed in, and I definitely am not...
Summary: Have now used this for a couple of months for TV, Movies, CDs. I have a standard living room of about 16 X 20 where I sit roughly 10 - 12 ft from the screen / sound unit. I wanted an easily connectable unit that would give me reasonable sound given that space and acoustics are limited.
Summary: I was very disappointed with this system, my integrated TV speakers sounded better than this system, needless to say I have returned it. After reading reviews and seeing the "savings" I thought it would be a good buy. The biggest problem is the sound bar does not produce quality sound.
