Summary: I'm no audiophile, but I am a picky customer. No: I can't tell the difference between 20Mhz and 21Mhz. Yes: I like quality. What I can tell you is that this unit has a ton of features, but most importantly: sounds good -- rich, full sound.
Summary: This home theater system is great. By all means buy this along with some different front speakers. I hooked up my old cerwin vegas and it rocks. The reciever is great and the sound is phenominal. It is well worth the money.
Summary: I purchased this system at a retail store for $500. I was going to buy a Denon receiver and a Yamaha speaker package. For a few dollars more I picked up this HTiB. The included receiver is a Yamaha 467 and this receiver is quite nice.
Summary: The remote is pretty daunting when you first use it, but it is pretty simple. I did end up using a Logitech Harmony which can easily be configured with the receiver. I did not use the cables that came with this set because I wanted the best possible cables laid out once and did not want to deal with...
Pros: Great Sound, Easy Setup, Great price, and Connects all my devices! Speakers: The speakers were a good size and mounted easily (note: mounting accessories not included). The Sub produces a good beat. This was installed in a room that measured about 13 by 10. Receiver: Has 5 HDMI Ports (4 in, 1 out...
Cons: For some reason, my TV's HDMI port did not send sound through the receiver into the surround sound. This only occurs when watching OTA TV. I needed to add an optical cable to the setup to have TV sound through the surround. It might be the TV, not very sure on this one.
Summary: This unit came from LiveSpan thru Amazon. Was fastest shipping ever. I would rate system a 6 on scale of 1 to 10. Easy setup also. The automatic speaker setting is a real time saver. I would recommend this to friends & family for an average surround sound system.
Summary: I purchased this HTiB (Home Theatre in a Box) as a replacement for my old Philips HTiB that kept shutting down on me. This is my 4th HTiB now, where the first 3 were simpler and much cheaper models. Note: I'm not an audiophile, but I do like to have a good audio quality when watching a movie.
Summary: Got this for a small living room home theater set up. Had it about a month and happy so far. Relatively easy to set up, and feature set is good. Am using it as 'switch' to control several HDMI devices (cable box, blue ray player) routed to the TV.
