Summary: I bought the Yamaha YHT-390 Theater System. The Yamaha brand is one of the best around the speakers work better than what I expected. The speaker system has so many feature for everything you want to use it for. My descision to buy this one because it is a very good system for the good price I bought it for.
Summary: awesome sound....i would recommend buying better speaker wire but that's just me. great option for a small-medium size room. you can wall mount the rear speakers but not the front ones. also you're going to need a wire cutter, the wire does not come precut...perhaps i was out of the HTIB scene for a while but i could have sworn my last one was precut...anyways it's not that big of a deal. yht-390 is easy to set up and it looks very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Summary: This system sounds good and has many features, too many in fact. It would be nice to lose a few of the extra features and put in some essentials like: microphone and automatic balance feature instead of trying to do it by ear (major pain in the ...), it would also be nice if it actually used the audio from the HDMI inputs so you can just connect one cable instead of also having to connect a digital coax / fiber optic, it would cost next to nothing to include heavier...
Summary: I bought this system last week and hooked it up over the weekend and I am more than impressed. The sound quality is better than I could have hoped for in a system this inexpensive rivaling even 'high-end' systems.
Yamaha has crafteed the perfect home theater experience with the YHT-390BL. From the cool-running AV receiver to the wooden speakers and subwoofer this is an amazing system that WILL make your friends green with envy.
Summary: This is a great system. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding on this system. The unit sounds great. It does not run very hot and was fairly simple to set up although I do have some knowledge of electronics. Some of the reviews state that you have to have separate audio cables from your DVD player or DTV units when using the HDMI cables.
Summary: After having owned a dinosaur Yamaha amplifier combination that I bought when I was in the army 25 years ago, I was pleased with my purchase of this unit. I was so pleased with the quility of the C-4/M-4 combination that the Yamaha YHT-390 was the logical choice for me. It has inputs and outputs galore. Many you wont need, but the choices of types of signal input and output are great.
