Summary: Newegg return procedure was painless (other than the $50 price to send it back)
Pros: very simple setup
Cons: quality was not $250 worth of high quality. Mt LG TV quality was equal. Unable to adjust for audio delay, the adjustment provided was insufficient to compensate for the voice lag. DVD did not lag, TV did. I chose to take the $50 hit for returning it rather than live with it. Even the UPS guy said...
Summary: We purchased this on Sept. 10, 2013 and were very pleased with this product until one day it just stopped working. I contacted Yamaha and was told how to ship it back to them for a replacement.
Summary: This thing is huge. I forgave the girth initially, hoping for a great sound. The sound was tinny with accentuated highs and essentially no bass fullness. I've had cheap computer speakers that put out a better bass sound than this. It went promptly back into the box.
Summary: I bought one of these from Amazon out of their refurbished/used section. After all, it had been refurbished... supposedly. Never again. What a waste of time. The casket size shipping box this thing was packed in had enough room for at least 6 more of them making it very awkward to handle.
Excerpt: Bought after much comparison, on the strength of Yamaha reputation, previous experience and the boast that it gave "best virtual surround sound on the market" Gives Several sound options which is ok, but could not discern any real surround sound effects. My old cheap one was better!
