Summary: My husband and I needed to get better sound for our 32"Sony Bravia tv and we thought this was simply perfect since we don't have the money for a complete sound system. When we purchased it, we got it for $88.00 which seemed like a great deal. And technically, I guess it still is, but it didn't come without problems. The first speaker bar we bought came with generic sections for hooking up sound.
Summary: After I bought my 46" Sony LED HDTV I saw this in my local Walmard ad. It was 25% cheaper and I could have it in twenty minutes! It was easy to install and works great unless you're a headbanger, using it in a bar, or your hearing aid died. It's not a Home Theater System but I think it's great.
Summary: Which is not the price you see here. This item is now dated and the price points are coming down and so I found this at Wally world on sale for 65% of the price you see here. And for that money it is simply ideal for my setup. Basically I have a flat panel in my bedroom and this sound bar is far superior to the sound coming from my 40 inch Samsung flat panel. The other review describing this as junk is either a customer with a defective unit, or a defective customer.
Summary: Sony is pure rubbish. We had the misfortune of buying a Sony HDTV last year as a replacement for our old tv. The picture is ok, but the cheap speakers at maximum volume were a huge disappointment. So today I brought this Sony Sound Bar designed as they say to work with Sony HDTV. Nope, sorry, they are useless. First of all the maximum volume is so low we actually thought they were not working. Actually the meager speakers in the TV are louder than the sound bar.
