Summary: Used to supplement tiny Samsung 42" LCD speakers in our 2nd tv area which also has the cold air return for the HVAC system. Room is 12x24 and this sound bar provides exactly enough volume to get up above the HVAC when needed plus much more.
Summary: Greatly improved the quality of sound in a mid-size high ceiling family room. In addition to a TV we are using it in conjunction with a SONY Playstation and two Apple TVs (2nd and 3rd generation). It is in a set up with a 43" SONY XBR 4K TV and a DirecTV Genie Receiver/DVR.
Summary: I was thinking about some other options for a home entertainment system to play music and for my TV, however I realized that my Samsung TV from early 2014 didn't actually have any audio out ports, so that really limited my options.
Summary: Purchased a "60 Samsung to replace an older DLP, and the sound was terrible. Almost sounded like the voices were coming from under water. I researched the HX-XT1 in comparison to Bose, JBL and Vizio.
Excerpt: Initially I just wanted a bluetooth speaker for my bedroom. I really liked the Bose Soundlink speaker but realized I couldn't hook it up to my t.v. So I looked around and came across the HT-XT1. I gave it a try, based on the reviews, and have come to love it.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls
Summary: I recently purchased a Sony TV (KDL50W700B) and, while very happy with the video capabilities of the TV, I must say the audio leaves something to be desired. The thin bezel does not allow for decently sized speakers, and the ones included with the unit are simply anemic.
Summary: Hooked this up to our TV and noticed right away background noises that we'd never heard before. Running through a TV series we've watched multiple times already and simply blown away with the subtle conversations going on in the background when the main characters are talking. Great sound.
And the sound itself from the sound bar is just some better than the TV

Summary: I can only give this sound bar a lukewarm rating. It has been real picky about how it is hooked up to our entertainment stuff. The stuff is a little older, that gives the sound bar some excuse for not working well.
Summary: A perfect addition to a new 55" big screen. Vastly improved audio quality with superior definition of highs/lows over built-in TV speakers. Of course, understand that this is not a full surround sound system, and if you have the space for multiple speakers, that is an excellent way to proceed.
