Great Produce, Perfect Price

  • Excerpt: Initially I just wanted a bluetooth speaker for my bedroom. I really liked the Bose Soundlink speaker but realized I couldn't hook it up to my t.v. So I looked around and came across the HT-XT1. I gave it a try, based on the reviews, and have come to love it.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls

Money well spent!

DennisB, Amazon
1 June 2015
  • Summary: I recently purchased a Sony TV (KDL50W700B) and, while very happy with the video capabilities of the TV, I must say the audio leaves something to be desired. The thin bezel does not allow for decently sized speakers, and the ones included with the unit are simply anemic.

Glad I got it

Dave Byers, Amazon
23 May 2015
  • Summary: Hooked this up to our TV and noticed right away background noises that we'd never heard before. Running through a TV series we've watched multiple times already and simply blown away with the subtle conversations going on in the background when the main characters are talking. Great sound.

And the sound itself from the sound bar is just some better than the TV

Ron And Kay Thomas "Ron and Kay Thomas", Amazon
16 May 2015
  • Summary: I can only give this sound bar a lukewarm rating. It has been real picky about how it is hooked up to our entertainment stuff. The stuff is a little older, that gives the sound bar some excuse for not working well.

A Great Sony Product

D. West "Rivergoat", Amazon
11 May 2015
  • Summary: A perfect addition to a new 55" big screen. Vastly improved audio quality with superior definition of highs/lows over built-in TV speakers. Of course, understand that this is not a full surround sound system, and if you have the space for multiple speakers, that is an excellent way to proceed.

Unfortunately the subwoofer went bad and the any sort of base causes bad distortion

David M, Amazon
9 May 2015
  • Summary: I've had this for a few months. Unfortunately the subwoofer went bad and the any sort of base causes bad distortion. I've also noticed that the unit turns itself on to the BT (Bluetooth) mode. I turn it off and a few minutes later its back on again. Either its ghosts or poor workmanship.

Good sound but hit and miss integration with TV remotes

J. Lee, Amazon
24 April 2015
  • Summary: I had a ZVox 555 that died in a power outage and decided to try a different brand sound bar. After some research, I settled on the Sony HT-XT1, mostly because of the price and the fact that it has multiple HDMI inputs.

Awesome sound quality with minor issues centering around the remote

Reel 2 Reel Video, Amazon
20 April 2015
  • Summary: The sound quality is outstanding and blows away the sound that was coming from my tv. I also love the android App and listen to streaming Pandora and Sirius xm daily. The blue tooth setup was very easy and once setup is completed I just open the app on my phone, connect to the sound bar and start...
