Summary: for the most part, the system is great for what i paid. but it has an occasional issue where the sound and picture will cut out for a second. it usually only does this one time when it is turned on, but annoying non-the-less. at least i have tivo, so i can skip back to find what i missed.
Summary: Very Awesome, it was the first surround i got with 3 HDMI inputs. It is a great and decently priced unit, however be aware the Sub will blow in no time, I suggest you build a custom box and put a real sub in it. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.
Summary: It does everything I expected and sound is great. The base is deep and penetrates the walls. I'd recommend this system to those who are in the market an excellent sound system at a very reasonable price
Summary: I have had this setup for nearly 4 years and it has been awesome. It gives me more sound than I could really need and sounds great whether watching a movie, listening to music or playing video games. I was leery of buying the Home theater in a box but this has been great.
Summary: I spent a long time shopping for a home theater system. I'm glad I followed the advice of other reviewers and chose this item. I have a small room with a big TV, and this provides just the right kind of sound. Works especially well with my PS3, and it was a breeze to hook up.
Summary: I've owned this unit for a little less than a year. I began having distortion problems with the subwoofer about a month ago. I hooked up a neighbor's subwoofer to the system and it worked fine. I contacted Sony and learned the product had to be shipped to Texas at my expense for warranty repairs. I boxed up the subwoofer, attached a note explaining the problem including that another subwoofer worked fine, and shipped it to Texas.
Summary: I have had this system for about 9 months now and other than the sub-woofer it is a fine home theater system which is easy to set up and use. Unfortunately at anything over about volume 20 the sub-woofer will crackle and pop loudly, rendering it worthless. I was forced to unplug it entirely. Equally problematic is the fact that unless you are into wiring you cannot replace the sub-woofer as it is designed to work with this system only.
Summary: Got the system for about 2 weeks now. Setup to work with my Sony blue-ray disk player is a breeze. The system was setup in 10 minutes with the sound calibration using the microphone thingy. However, I need to adjust for the surround-sound speakers individually for my taste. I try the radio FM signal to test the speakers. They perform excellent for their size; the sound is crisp, clear. The only issue is the speaker wires come with the system are short.
Summary: I had to replace my old Sony that got struck by lightning, looked at a lot of "combo" systems, took a chance on this one. It is set up in our living room, about 14x20 in area. Unit has more than enough oomph for me. Pros: Though not stated any where I could find in the specs the 3 HDMI inputs are not pass through. Really helps the sound from both my Blu-ray and my Sat. Easy to wire; wires come with color coded connections for the unit, no brainer.
Summary: The set up is easy enough with HDMI cables. Removing 1/2 a star because the menu display is too small unless you have 20/20 vision, t.v. interface would have been ideal, and for Sony's penchant for proprietary ... everything. There is no need (for us) to change the wires, but it may be for others. We were concerned by some reviews that stated the system was not loud enough but after testing it, we have to disagree with those reviews.
