Sony HT-CT770 Home Theater Soundbar

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: The Sony HT-CT770 is a thunderous-sounding soundbar thanks to its wireless subwoofer, but even with Bluetooth it's better with movies and games than it is with music.
  • Pros: Large, powerful sound field. Well-balanced with booming subwoofer. Excellent movie and video game audio. Built-in Bluetooth. Supports HDMI.
  • Cons: Music sounds tinny with soundbar turned down. No simulated surround features.

  • Conclusion: At $450, Sony’s new HW-CT770 may be a bit pricier than competing entry-level sound bars, but you get a lot for your money. The bar brings balance, detail, and power to your home theater, plus it offers a wealth of features often reserved for systems in the upper class.
  • Pros: Impressive, detailed sound for the price, Wide stereo image, Loaded with features, Attractive design
  • Cons: Unit blocks TV remote in optimal sound position, Bass can get too boom-y
