Summary: So far this soundbar is a good choice for the money. I bought it based on ratings from Consumer Reports. While there were other soundbars rated higher, this choice was by far the least expensive. I have a similarly priced Polk soundbar for another TV and this one is superior. There's a good range of sound and the subwoofer provides just enough bass. It's great for watching action movies at volume.
Summary: It is a great system for the money and thats why the 4 star. Sounds great and does everything I wanted it to do for my upstairs tv.Also for anyone looking for a sound bar make sure you get one with a stand alone sub (makes a world of difference).
Summary: Love this thing. The NFC Bluetooth pairing works great with my Windows 8 phone. While the TV audio is a little light, gaming is great, and the Bluetooth audio (from my phone) absolutely THUMPS!.
Summary: It only worked for 1 to 2 weeks. It has been in the shop for over 6 weeks. This is at the repair center given on the Sony website. Sony support has been horrible. As of today, they have told us to ship it back to Sony.
Summary: Really liked the sound of this product however I ended up sending it back for four reasons: 1. My TV was incompatible. Although my TV has HDMI, for the HDMI to work on this it required a certain type of HDMI on my TV, which it did not have. 2. The sound was out of sync with the rest of my speakers throughout the house. I tried several things including slowing down the wireless signal via my router to the Apple TV, however nothing worked. 3. It did not have autopower on.
Great sound and looks very nice mounted on the wall

Summary: I know the guys in my family wanted something with more speakers and more boom boom ... but the quality of this unit is great, clear sound and voices ... and they can crank it up when they want more noise but for me it is perfect!
Summary: Let's face it, sound quality on TV's is just bad, even on the new big screen 3-D TV's. I just had to get a replacement and after reading the specs and reviews, I bought this Sony sound bar and I'm glad that I did. I wanted great sound, Bluetooth, a subwoofer, various sound settings, and no extra speakers that take up space. This system provided all my requirements at a reasonable price. The sound bar is far better than the build-in TV speakers even at low volume.
Summary: Its a great product but the instructions for set up are not very clear. It seems like in the instructions you have to have an optical out but you do not need one if you have HDMI. Other than that it is just plug and play.
Summary: I hooked this up to my family-room TV, which is about 3 years old. The sound on the built-in speakers was weak and muddy. Sometimes, with the volume all the way up, we still couldn't understand dialogue in movies, and then would get our ears blasted by music or explosions or some other loud thing in the movie. The Sony soundbar was very easy to hook up. The wireless subwoofer works perfectly. And the sound is EXCELLENT!
