Summary: This was purchased as a christmas gift for my parents. The design was well done (it all flows together, very square, hard lined elements in a matte black finish), the sound was sub-par because the subwoofer stopped working (we don't know exactly when).
Summary: Installation was a breeze. The sound is decent. Would like to have more depth in the bass. One annoyance I have is when the receiver goes into sleep mode, I have to turn it back on and manually switch to the input I am using. I can't find a way to change the default input.

Summary: The set up was easy. Connected my DVR and Blu Ray player to the receiver and it worked like a charm.. Sound quality was OK, but as I cautioned, I am not an audiophile and think this one is probably good enough for my limited reqiuirement.
Summary: I'll keep this short: the sound from this unit is adequate, but nothing phenomenal. I actually prefer the quality of my older Sony HT-CT150. It had better bass and clarity. This one has weaker bass and a slightly muddled sound. Here's my major gripe though: why the external receiver?
