Summary: The sound effect is very bad. The surround sound of my TV with just 10W speakers is Far better.Other than the deep bass that this system can add it cannot do any good (sometimes bad) to the overall sound quality. I was so eager to open and install that I did not even put the package box in the Godown. Now am thankful I did not do that. Makes the whole work of re packing more easy. Did not expect this from Sony.
Summary: ok - before I start complaining about this sound bar I will concede that I had unrealistic expectations. I was expecting it to replace a full speaker/amp/sub setup and just take up less room and, well, it definitely can't do that. For starters, it does look cool. It is very minimalist and easy enough mount on the wall and hide the wire. Very minimalist. But then I turned it on. And listened. And tweaked the settings. And listened again.
Summary: Using this with a 65" MITS. I have messed with settings and still not impressed. Havent tried a blu-ray yet, but with the att uverse it is not very impressive. Louder yes, but not much bass, and certainly no virtual surround. Should have returned but did not.
Summary: I did not like this home theater product by Sony because the wireless sub-woofer would not work. I could get sound from the soundbar speakers but not from the sub-woofer. I went throuh all the help sections in the manual, and even called Sony and followed all of their suggestions; but still could not get the sub-woofer to work. I returned this product to Amazon.
Summary: I don't often write reviews, but I want to warn people about this system. I have the "prior generation" model, the 350, and I did a side-by-side comparison. The earlier model just blows this one away. I'm not sure why Sony downsized the speakers and removed the center channel, but the results are clearly not good. The sound is flat in comparison. I'd avoid it unless the wireless subwoofer is important to you.
