No sound from TV Speakers

I have the HT-CT350 set up to my Sony 40" Flat screen along with a CATV Box as per the enclosed instructions. My question is, What settings do I use if I do not want to utilize the CT350 sound bar but would rather use the speakers from the TV. I could only use the sound bar now. The TV speakers appear inoperable even though I see the volume go up, no sound is detected. Is this a setting issue or a connection issue?
