Summary: the sound bar is a good product for the price...especially for the sound and quality. you can't beat the sony quality and sound and easy to setup and just a good quality product! i am glad i bought it!! its just enough sound for my apartment!
Summary: Love it. If you want a good sound bar for a decent price, I would recommend this one. Only problem I had was the cheesy short optical cable. I mounted it on the wall, so I purchased a longer one with more insulation. It could also use 2 optical ports, but I suppose you would need to spend more money for that, so I used a coaxial cable for my DVD player.

Summary: So i am posting this because I hear a lot of people saying just because it doesn't have hdmi inputs it is a definite no-buy. Sony is steering many average costumers to hook up all their hdmi devices to their TVs and then have the TV pass the sound to the sound-bar. There is definitely some limitations with no hdmi inputs but as long as your TV has a digital output you can get around it for most situations. Here is a really good guide that addresses the issue [...
I'm really fighting with my ears. This soundbar, it's working!

Summary: I've been fighting a huge battle with my ears, I've had a 7.1 rich sounding system for so long that my ears are trained to hear everything. When I listen to an opera, the orchestra should sound a certain way in comparison to the performers. Action movies should be more explosive and surround the listener with the experience, and music is all preference, and mine is clean highs and lows without too much in the middle :). I've tried 7 different sound bars.
Summary: Sony has yet again given us a great product (HT-CT260) to enhance our viewing/listening pleasure. This sound bar gives great movie bass, yet music sounds wonderful as well. Watching a movie seems almost like a theater experience. Options given to change setup from STD, Movie, Game, Music, P.Audio, and Stereo really adds to the quality of not only the chosen Mode, but to the product itself. Setup is so easy you can be up and running in minutes, including Bluetooth.
Summary: I'm renovating my family room - removing a wall and building into the garage, essentially doubling the space. After research I decided to go with a soundbar mainly to minimize space taken up and also to minimize cost. I also wanted something wireless as the extra space would mean I likely would need mounts for the back speakers, which frankly I was hoping to avoid.
Summary: I bought this system for my son's apartment at college because the TV speakers were awful to say the least. The living room is smallish so I decided to go with a soundbar / subwoofer system versus an audio receiver and separate speakers. I chose this Sony system because of the added benefits of a wireless subwoofer and bluetooth music connection. It took us about 15 minutes from unpacking to full setup.
Summary: The Sony HTCT260 met my needs, but it could have been better in some areas. This is being used in a bedroom paired with a 40" Sony TV. I'm using bluetooth to stream music from iPad 2 and iPhone 5. I've gone to B&M stores to see what my options are. There are definitely better sound bars out there, but at this price point, the sound of the HTCT260 beats out the competition.
