Excerpt: Before I made this purchase, I had never felt there was a need to set up additional sound speakers to my television. I was happy with the sound that came from my television and I certainly did not want to set up and have to look at multiple speakers …
Great for watching movies as well as sports or news

Summary: I have always owned Sony products because of their use of quality components and this sound bar is no different in construction. It functions beautifully for all the shows I watch. From voices to helicopter flying by in the movie. No problem. I have not noticed any range that it fails to reproduce or give some life to. The price was in the ball park of all others which isn't always the case with Sony.
Pros: Beautiful design, quality of components, broad range of sound
Cons: hdmi jack a little weak, large cable from base unit to bar, no wireless sub
Summary: I'd been eyeing this soundbar for about a year, always waivering on the fence. How could a single speaker "bar" emulate surround sound? But this unit really rocks. This unit outputs really rich sounding tones with deep bass and high hi's. When it was rolled back to under $200, I had to get it. I figure it's probably earmarked for clearance soon but I didn't want to chance not picking on up.
Summary: This sound bar and subwoofer sound pretty good. It's not very loud so don't expect it to rock a big room. I would have liked for it to be a bit louder but it does sound very clear. The sub is not very hard-hitting but again, it is nice and clear. If your looking for the utmost in loud, quality sound, then you may consider going with a true surround sound system.
Summary: The speaker bar is fantastic and helps boost my flat screen's volume and the volume from my tv still works too. The sub woofer could be a little bit louder also, but it does sound good with music playing out of it. Not bad for the price.
Summary: I have a Samsung LN32B550 that has fairly decent sound by itself, but it was severely lacking on the low end. Having had a full home theater in the past, the thought of running a ton of speaker wire, having to work up a bunch of varied inputs to a receiver, retrain my fiance on how to turn on the TV, etc., all made me shudder. Then I found this little setup. One cable for the speaker(s). One cable from each device (pending your devices all support HDMI).
Summary: I PURCAHASED THIS PRODUCT 2 WEEKS AGO ,I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE BEST $200.00 IVE EVER SPENT.WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE. THE SOUND IS GREAT AS FAR AS TREBLE BUT THE BASS NEEDS A LITTLE ADJUSTING AS FAR AS THE FACTORY SETTING +2 OR +3 IS GOOD SETTING +6 A LITTLE TO MUCH KNOCKED SOME PICTURE FRAMES OF THE WALL.OVERALL IM VERY HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT AND U CANT BEAT THE ONLINE PRICE ALL THE COMPETITORS HAD THIS UNIT FOR AROUND $300.00.YOU NEED TO UPGRADE TO A BLUE RAY PLAYER AND HD...
Summary: I debated over and over about this speaker bar but after receiving it and setting it up I have to say it is fabulous. I consider myself a home audiophile with surround in my main tv room and jobsite rock speakers wired in my pool. I know what I like and use a/v forums and work in the events business and work with sound. So when I bought this I was hesitant. I did want a receiver and decent sound and just didn't feel like wiring and mounting speakers again.
