Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX589W, purchased on 6/25/10 (Friday afternoon) for $329 and signed up for Amazon Prime to get free 2 day shipping. Received product on 6/29/10 (Tuesday afternoon_. Everything in the box was wrapped neatly and carefully.
Summary: very big let down, youd think from sony it would have been soooo much better! sound was not that great and hard to control!! switching from things like t.v. to surround and so on is a nightmare, thinking of selling it and cutting my loss. and i just got the thing! just my opinion but dont waste your money or time. oh and id rather run wires then mess with the wireless system. sony really goofed on this. my old system was so much better!! hope this helped and god bless!
Summary: Hook up and install took about 30 minutes because of the packaging but the DVD setup made it easy to get synced and up and running. The first movie I watched was amazing and the sound was far superior than expected. The rear speakers make you feel like in a theater or better yet in the movie! Well worth the money.
Summary: This was my first home theatre purchase and i wasnt sure if it was the best choice, i admired the samsung for its looks though remembered a previous bad encounter with a Hifi i bought some years back, the panasonic home theatre also caught my attention in the cost range but following reviews, i gave the sony the shot.
