Summary: I got all those pieces spread out, plugged them in, and never could get it to work. Those "wireless" speakers aren't wireless. They need electric power from the wall. Great disappointment. Then, the seller refused to take them back. Lousy deal.
Summary: This was our first surround system and we absolutely love it. Have had it for over a year now, and the surround sound is great. You can hear all the "extra" sounds, noises in the background...it is amazing. Great sub-woofer and especially love it for music, has a 5 disc changer. Highly recommend it!
Summary: I'm sorry I bought this system - it's too complicated to set up and use. It takes too long- about 9 seconds for the dvd tray to open. I don't use the radio b/c I don't know how to preset the stations and it takes too long to surf to a new one w/the remote.
Summary: Not recommended. The sound quality of this unit is poor, mostly because the bass response is so poor. I'm sticking with my 330 watt JVC mini system, which sounds infinitely better, for a hundred dollars less.
Great system for the price and performance offered...

Summary: I was able to set it up in no time at all and the included components worked flawlessly. The wireless rear speakers open up all sorts of possibilities for placement (need unobstructed path between the two wireless bases). A nice starter, or smaller room system.
Summary: This is a great product. It's relatively easy to set up and it works great. The only flaw I've found is the lack of any digital inputs, which means you can't get Dolby 5.1 sound from your cable box or sattelite receiver.
Summary: This is the first Sony product that I hate. First, the "Sony" name appears in bright letters when the machine is on although this can be changed. Then LED lights flash from left to right on the front panel--very annoying!
