Decent System / Wireless can cut in / out too easily

Summary: The sound quality is excellent. Easily installation / set up. Looks sharp in almost any room. 5 Disc Changer is convenient. My only beef with this product is that the sensor cuts out too much when you walk past it. And since you are suppose to have the speakers set up where the the front speakers are on ones side of the room and the rear speakers on the other this happens often.
Summary: We've had this system hooked up in our house for maybe two years. It was not too hard to hook up and the sound quality was great. I'm always sceptical of the DVD players that "suck" the disc in rather then having a slide out tray. In this case, I was right to be skeptical. This "top of the line" DVD surround sound system stopped playing discs about 2 years after purchase.
Summary: Do not purchase anything through Amazon.com that it is not being sold directly by them. If your purchase is broken/damaged, they will not help you with the vendor. Their policy is: "We are not the Seller".
Summary: I purchased this surround sound which happened to be the floor model over 2 years ago at a CompUSA that was closing. I usually stay away from electronic items that have spent time being displayed because of the wear and tear that they get; however, I couldn't pass up the deal. This was exactly what I needed, inexpensive and plays Dvds and everything i needed was in one box; I didn't have to go around purchasing individual items (speakers, subwoofer, reciever, etc).
Summary: After getting over the initial shock of all the instructions for various connection options, I went with the simple HDMI - a simple plug in and go. That was a big win. I was a bit disappointed in the "wireless" portion. only two of the speakers are set to be wireless. I was under the impression of having the main speakers as wireless and the bass unit connected; however, the speakers can be wall mounted so that worked just as well. Overall, very pleased with the sound.
Summary: If you order a DVD from Europe and want to play it on this SONY unit, you will find that you have wasted your money. SONY is in bed with the distributors and blocks your playing the DVD. This s not a legal block; it's just SONY in collusion with the film folks to diminish the value of your film collection. So be aware. This is the same as SONY's decision to no longer support Cablecards in its TVs.
Summary: I have got this product for 440 + free shipping from Amazon for last thanksgiving. It's still rocking. I would strongly recommend this. Some thing to be considered before you buy: 1)It's just 1080i 2)The receiver+DVD player is heavy 3) Setting up is not too easy 4) Hard to find volume control for sub woofer 5) Disc loading is very confusing until you find the correct rhythm
Dream System, Installation nightmare! But great sound!

Summary: I've read many of the reviews here and only have to add the following: 1. My wife and I are retards as it took us over 3 hours to build this thing out!!! Sony could have designed the construction intelligently but chose to use sub-standard scews which, well, basically screw you over. Very easy to de-thread the screws and we almost ruined one of the stands as they didn't screw in or out easily... 2.
Summary: I use the dream system for DVD's, music and radio. Although there is no iPod dock, I use a double end audio out cable to listen to my iPod. System was easy to assemble and speaker wire is provided if you choose not to use wireless system.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Setup, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls
Summary: Finally upgraded my SONY SAVA system of 12 years after a lot of research and considering other brands, I am very happy I stayed with SONY. The set up instructions could have been written better, but once you get one speaker done, the rest is easy. Match the color of the cord to the color of the label on back of speaker and you are on your way. Once set up the sound is very good. The wireless rear speakers are awesome.
