Summary: The unboxing experience is AMAZING. Everything is gorgeous with that design. When you power up for the first time it will ask you to calibrate your system with the microphone it includes and it will increase or decrease the DECIBEL levels according to what it seems recommended for the room you are at. The thing is I think this calibration is a piece of crap. Mine lowered the levels too much and didn't let me appreciate the full performance the system can provide.
Summary: it may not go to 11 - but nor should anyone's ears be exposed to 11 this has been great for music (plugged a chromecast right into the back of it), DirecTV content , DVD's and Blu Rays The wireless rear speakers work as advertised, and greatly simplify set up. The sub does not have it's own amplification - but still thunders mercilessly. If you're the type who can only accept music at a level that alters your heart's rhythm, then this system is not quite that powerful.
Summary: Easy set-up, great sound, outstanding features. Sony's app interface is the best I have seen with the following exception; Sony should offer a "full screen" display of the apps instead of the scroll and choose style. Although I was aware of this going in, I am disappointed that Sony does not equip this system with a headphone interface.
Decent all-in-one home theater system with convenient wireless rear speakers; but plastic sound and average software quality

Summary: Courtesy of Amazon Vine, I received this Sony BDV-N7100W 5.1 Channel 3D Blu-ray Disc Home Theater System with Wireless Rear Speakers for review. In the one month that I have been using this, I keep asking myself: if I had bought this from a store, would I have returned it? I will give you the answer now and justify it below: most likely yes. First, here is my background.
