Summary: I think I found a solution. So far it has worked for me. Instead of wrapping the HDMI with foil, I wrapped the EZWT100 card on the reciever. Cover half of it, just enought to cover it when plugged into the receiver. Also my HDMI cable are free from foil wrapping. The wireless back speakers are roughly 8 ft away and I get crystal clear sound from them. This has been working so far. Give this a try and see if this works for you. [...
Summary: Thought of buying a new home theatre to replace my old onkyo HT, had plans of buying BOSE V20,but saw this HT online and was impressed by the golf speakers , so thought would give it a try. The feedbacks from customers that the rear speakers are not working well (some problem with pairing S- Air) made me think twice but eventually bought this product.
Great product - S-Air was a bit finiky, but only because I went cheap on ONE HDMI cable

Summary: I've had the Sony BDVIS1000 for a few weeks now-- Before purchasing I read the reviews on this system and was a bit hesitant about purchasing based on the S-air connectivity problems, but really wanted the small footprint & sound from this extra small HTIB system. I'm thrilled I did, because I couldn't be more pleased with the look, functionality and sound produced by such a small system. DVDs look great, the on screen display is easy to use, and setup is.
Summary: Like most here mentioned, linking rear speakers was an challenge until I called my friend Mark, who ordered some better HDMI cables and intensely read the manual. Now we're very, very, very, pleased. Wow!

Summary: First, let me say that I have purposely waited about 4 months before writing a review. I want to give this review a fair report. Having said that, I want to tell you that I am VERY satisfied with this product. It's simple, all-in-one, and high quality performance make this a wonderful treat in my home. Using this product to watch movies and satellite tv, I have found this system to be powerful. Yes, powerful.
Summary: I recently bought the BDV-IS1000 and had the same pairing problem as everyone else. I had read the boards and comments regarding possible solutions. While I cannot speak for each and every BDV-IS1000 that is out there and I am sure that there is certain equipment that is indeed defective, I would like to bet that my solution will probably solve 99% of the paring problems.

Summary: It took us until last week to pull the trigger on buying a BluRay DVD player. We are so glad we waited for a Theater in a Box piece like this Sony! Set up time was about 45 minutes (only because I had to bury all the wiring) but watching a movie, or broadcast TV, is like being at the movies. The picture quality, the sound reproduction and the ease of installation all get a 5 star rating.
Summary: I purchased the Sony BDV-IS1000 after researching a lot of Blu-Ray HTIB systems from all the manufacturers. I was initially skeptical about the sound quality from such small speakers and concerned about the reliability of wireless rear speakers. I am glad to say that after purchasing this system and setting it up (in less than 30 minutes) that not only does the S-Air system work flawlessly, but the sound is incredible.
