Summary: Most complaints on here seem to be because they hadn't read instructions - and it even says they will have these prolems in the instructions! HDMI it says will give you BEST sound, using headphone jack worst because of background interference. SHARP does point this out. The sales outlet should point out that ARC is required and all newer tvs have hdmi cec to operate it, I know it existed 6 years ago, maybe longer.
Summary: I purchased this to go with the Toshiba 47TL515U 47-Inch Natural 3D 1080p 240 Hz LED-LCD HDTV with Net TV, Black that I purchased and knowing the sound quality was going to be lackluster, go this unit. It's a decent system (for what it is). The look of the system is nice, and it's pretty inconspicuous. The sound bar itself has a low profile which leaves the IR sensor on the TV clear. Additionally, through the ARC HDMI connection, the TV remote controls the sound bar.
Summary: I was a little hesitant to order this soundbar after some of the reviews - a few people noted a hissing or humming noise - but I LOVE this soundbar. I've had none of the hissing or humming. Just good sound. I had an old Sony surround-sound system that was a wiring nightmare. Every wire (even cable) had to route through the Sony, then to the TV. That old system finally died and I replaced it with this soundbar as a temporary fix until I got a new surround-sound system.
Summary: Awesome sound bar and woofer for its size works with my Sharp Aquos lcd tv great pairing and fab sound tbh. Remember to update the tv's software first otherwise it won't find the audio system.Well pleased with price and delivery.
Summary: Having bought a new flat screen HD TV to replace a long-serving but ailing CRT set, encountered the disappointing audio so frequently reported with this form factor. We all know why - speakers the size of matchboxes to fit inside the super-slim cabinets. The Sharp 2.1 is a good, entry-level system for day-to-day viewing. Sound bar specifications and price tickets can vary up to five or more times the cost for a bells-and-whistles home cinema setup.
Summary: Some people will say you only get what you pay for, well not in this case this is superb value for money, its slim compact, looks great, and sounds great, my television did not have the best sound in the world but this has improved it greatly, its worth noting however it is not compatable with all tvs, mine would not work with the hdmi lead, which by the way is supplied in the box, so dont buy one, but the instructions give you several ways of connecting it and it worked...
Summary: The sound bar is great but he set up is a problem for my tv, I do not have a hdmi arc so its done through the audio out put. I can't find out how to reduce the volume so now using the headphone socket but the quality is lower. It's a sharp tv its linked to but need a person who knows what they are doing.
