Summary: Overall this serves it purpose; definitely way better sound quality than the 60 inch Sharp TV I bought with it. The sound modes (i.e. News, Sports, Cinema etc.) are handy and work well. The constantly streaming (unit on or off) LED looking display is tacky and irritating.
Summary: Pros: 1. It sounds better than tiny tv speakers Cons 1. Having first fed all my components to my tv and using the digital out on my tv as my only source into the sound bar, there were significant sync problems (audio would lag behind the visuals).
Summary: My Sharp soundbar worked great . . . for about two months, when the "protection circuit" light came on and could not be reset. I had to ship it back to Sharp to have it refurbished. They were very good, paying shipping both ways, but it was a PITA to back as I had thrown away the original box.
Summary: I got this to match to my new 60" TV because it also is 60". The bass is a little too boomy and the mid tones are slightly muffled. Also for some reason the sound sometime is mute when I turn the TV and cable box on (I leave the sound bar on.
Summary: UPDATE (same day as original review) Just got off phone with Amazon/Sharp Free 30-Day Tech Support 1-800-362-5703. Went thru all the process of hook-up with soundbar and TV settings nothing worked as I already had correct hook-up.
Summary: After 30 days of perfect operation my first SB60 Sound Bar failed to turn on. Called Sharp and tried to unplug and perform a hard reset of both the TV and sound bar. No help, the SB60 was dead.
Summary: I paired this sound bar with my 70le847u and the connection was flawless... for about 3 months then it stopped working. I got the "protection circuit" error. As instructed I unplugged it and reconnected everything. It still would not power on. I left it unplugged all night and still the same thing.
