Summary: Pros: 1. It sounds better than tiny tv speakers Cons 1. Having first fed all my components to my tv and using the digital out on my tv as my only source into the sound bar, there were significant sync problems (audio would lag behind the visuals). So I had to run separate feeds from my cable box and Xbox into the sound bar, bypassing the tv.
Summary: My Sharp soundbar worked great . . . for about two months, when the "protection circuit" light came on and could not be reset. I had to ship it back to Sharp to have it refurbished. They were very good, paying shipping both ways, but it was a PITA to back as I had thrown away the original box. It is hard to find a box that will hold the 60" soundbar, so I had to build one from parts. Sharp shipped it back in less than a week and it has been fine since then.
Summary: I got this to match to my new 60" TV because it also is 60". The bass is a little too boomy and the mid tones are slightly muffled. Also for some reason the sound sometime is mute when I turn the TV and cable box on (I leave the sound bar on.) and I can only bring it up by playing around with the remote. Should I turn off the sound bar too? That didn't seem to help so I'm confused...anyone know why?
Summary: UPDATE (same day as original review) Just got off phone with Amazon/Sharp Free 30-Day Tech Support 1-800-362-5703. Went thru all the process of hook-up with soundbar and TV settings nothing worked as I already had correct hook-up. They then gave me direct number to Sharp Tech Support 1-800-237-4277, same thing again to no avail. They want me to send back on their dime, say they will fixed or replace in a week or two..
Summary: After 30 days of perfect operation my first SB60 Sound Bar failed to turn on. Called Sharp and tried to unplug and perform a hard reset of both the TV and sound bar. No help, the SB60 was dead. Sharp's suggestion was to mail it to their national repair center, at my cost, and if they determine its defective, repair or replace it. Ok so how did the new replacement SB60 sound bar fare .... not good!
Summary: I paired this sound bar with my 70le847u and the connection was flawless... for about 3 months then it stopped working. I got the "protection circuit" error. As instructed I unplugged it and reconnected everything. It still would not power on. I left it unplugged all night and still the same thing. I then bypassed the surge protector I had it in, and then it finally powered back on, but then would not respond to the paired AQUOS TV remote or power on/off with the TV.
