Summary: Had it for less than one year and I have sent it back in twice for for service for two different problems. 1st: The power unit died in it 2nd: They send it back working fine and 2 months later it starts to hiss quietly, not noticeable when listening to it loud, but when its quite in a show or movie its louder than the dialogue. Also, if it is on less than 20% volume you have hear the hiss over most other audio.
Summary: Reviewers who rated this unit poor are 100% correct. Had issues with inconsistent connectivity issues since day one and now after only 11 months, the unit will not connect at all and just blinks a red light which according to Sharp is a defect with the unit. There goes $300. I will never buy a Sharp product again. I had to get used to cheap China crap, now I hope I don't have to get used to cheap Japanese crap over all again.
Summary: Subwoffer starting un-pairing within a week of using it. Had to do a hard rest on the sound bar to get it to pair. A week of doing that the subwoffer will no longer pair. Sharp people are making me send it in for repair vs giving me a new one. I would just return it to Amazon but I am out of my return window, didn't start using it until a few month after it was delivered.
Summary: I paired with my 70" Sharp LED and am happy so far. This isn't going to be close to a 5.1 or 7.1 system, but is worth the money for improved sound quality. I had to change my TV setting over to Bitstream vs. PCM to get DD output, but that's fine because it matches what DirecTV outputs anyway. The base is too strong so I had to turn down both the subwoofer and bass levels to get the balance I was looking for. I also used 3D(2) sound and Game Mode for best output.
Summary: Would not recommend this product. Have received two now and have to send the second one back. Should have realized something would be wrong when they had refurbished systems and Sears had quit selling them too. Will have to send the second one back too but Sharp has not called us back yet. Each system had different problems.

Summary: Abruptly failed after 5 months of Operation. Called Sharp tech support, ran through a few trivial troubleshooting steps, and was advised to send to their repair facility at our expense. Mind you, this is a 5' long soundbar AND separate subwoofer unit (which is apparently worked but Sharp insists it has to be sent back too.
Summary: My sound bar works fine for a few hours and then just turns off. I called Sharp and they wanted me to disconnect and reconnect the sound bar from the back of the TV. The problem is that I had the TV and sound bar mounted on the wall and I don't know how to remove it. I hoped I wouldn't need to remove it for several years. HHGregg sent out a technician and he said the sound bar was defective.
