Summary: Great! I didn't give it a five because it is only a 2.1 channel bar. If it came in a 5.1 or 7.1 I would have bought that. I bought it because our Sony soundbar/receiver (5.1) didn't talk to our Samsung TV very well and we had to reconnect it every time. This one fires up whenever the TV or BluRay Player is turned on. Saved my husband's hair. (he was tearing his hair out with frustration).
Summary: Great sound for a small room. I though it was going to be a easy set up. (Cables not included) I had to run a few extra cables to play netflix/Movies. But works fine now. Had it for 2 months and no problems yet.
Summary: I have to say am extremely happy with this purchase. I don't know why consumer reports ranked it as they did, but it meets all my needs. Great depth even when it is on low volume, clear dialogue.
Summary: The HW551 was very easy to setup including bluetooth streaming of music. The sound is clear, crisp and plenty of volume for my condo . The bass was also easy to wirelessly connect to the soundbar and does a nice job of making the sound fuller. If you don"t think it is doing much switch it off .Again plenty of bass for my condo. I am extremely pleased with the HW551 hooked it up to my 5yr Sony 50" TV with an optical cord.
Summary: For the price and the quality of the sound can't pass it up, Yes its not a surround sound quality but i love movies and it delivers a great sound. The sub works great being wireless (I put the sub up front because sounds weird with boom in back but sound up front) so if looking for that big movie full room sound then pass on but if looking for something to improve tv speakers like your nightly tv watching and still jamming out to blue tooth music or that great movie you...
Summary: Soundbar worked seamlessly with my Samsung TV. My cable box controller is able to control the volume setting on the soundbar through the Anynet capability. Do not require a separate controller for the soundbar, which is why I purchased Samsung soundbar and TV. This soundbar is also equipped with ARC functionality so everything is connected to your TV then only one HDMI is plugged into the soundbar.
Summary: This is a great system for anyone looking to replace their 5+1 component system. Although this doesn't give me the unlimited bass of my component set, it still kicks major butt. Perfect system to watch sports, video games, music etc. Works great in my apt's space.
Summary: Throw away the user manual. For non-Samsung TV owners, set up as follows: 1. Optical Cable from TV to soundbar (if you do not have an optical I apologize, use the manual or your best judgment). This is the "D. In" method. 2. Cable Box to TV via HDMI (also your other consoles/DVD HDMI directly to your TV). The reason this is THE best way to go is because: 1.
This would probably be a pain without 2013 Samsung F7500
11 October 2013
Summary: I have a new Samsung UN60F7500....2013 model, and that is exactly what this soundbar was designed for. Using the soundshare feature, the audio is transmitted 100% via Bluetooth, so I only need to plug into the electrical outlet on both the Sub AND Soundbar. I did not have any trouble getting the soundbar to sync with the Samsung TV remote and my Harmony remote.
