Excerpt: I've had my sounder for two years now and am very happy with it. I purchased my sounder after doing research on various brands and sounder models. I selected this Samsung soundbar due to the cost of the product and due to the glowing reviews about the quality.
Summary: The HW551 was very easy to setup including bluetooth streaming of music. The sound is clear, crisp and plenty of volume for my condo . The bass was also easy to wirelessly connect to the soundbar and does a nice job of making the sound fuller.
Summary: For the price and the quality of the sound can't pass it up, Yes its not a surround sound quality but i love movies and it delivers a great sound. The sub works great being wireless (I put the sub up front because sounds weird with boom in back but sound up front) so if looking for that big movie...
Summary: Soundbar worked seamlessly with my Samsung TV. My cable box controller is able to control the volume setting on the soundbar through the Anynet capability. Do not require a separate controller for the soundbar, which is why I purchased Samsung soundbar and TV.
Excerpt: No one may notice it ’cos it’s so slim and metallic silver blends well with TV but no one misses outstanding surround sound effect and output: gets everyone’s attention... Keep in mind, however, that after connecting TV and Receiver, you've used up all input sources.
Excerpt: Most digital TV's these days need a soundbar. This unit is supposed to enhance the Samsung TV - it doesn't! The sound volume is great, but it is not a surround sound unit (despite promises). There is also no capacity to modify tweeter / bass functions.
This would probably be a pain without 2013 Samsung F7500
23 October 2013
Summary: I have a new Samsung UN60F7500....2013 model, and that is exactly what this soundbar was designed for. Using the soundshare feature, the audio is transmitted 100% via Bluetooth, so I only need to plug into the electrical outlet on both the Sub AND Soundbar.
Summary: After looking at the instructions and peoples comments, there seems to be a lot of confusion on how to hook this up properly. This unit is designed for TV's that have ARC (Audio Return Channel). ARC users: Connect the HDMI OUT on soundbar to HDMI IN (ARC) on TV with a ARC compatible HDMI cable.
Summary: Bought a new Panasonic TV and this soundbar but the connection by HDMI is not maintained. Now can't to see the display 'TV ARC' on the soundbar, so no sound but it was ok when first bought it 2 weeks ago. I've connected to HDMI 2 which has ARC feature but it stopped displaying 'tv arc' on the bar.
