Not a home theater, but superior to the monitor's speakers.

Summary: As stand alone speakers for the TV in a bedroom or den, this system serves its purpose. I would not consider these speakers as a replacement for a home theater system. But as I said in the intro, they beat the monitor speakers hands down.
Summary: I set-up in the main bedroom with sub-woofer next to bed and speaker unit about 12 ft away from my pillow. The sound is very adequate. Above all it is very simple to use. Sometimes those AV Receivers offer too much complexity for the basic user such as my partner and children.
Summary: I love this soundbar. I had the 450, and it was cool. Now, the 550 allows me to dim the display. Also as more connections. It DOES in fact do auto on with the optical cable, just have to set it with the remote, although Anynet+ has to be off.
Summary: I should have bought this to start with but I waisted two months and tried three different big brand names before I realized that this is the best unit and has all the features you can think of in a sound bar for a home use.I have a 60 inch Samsung Television and this unit fit this application...
Summary: I bought this sound bar to complement a ] that sits in a bedroom. Connection couldn't be easier as I had a Blu-ray player. The sound bar included one of the HDMI type A to C cables but to connect the sound bar between the Blu-ray player and the plasma HDTV but a second one is needed.
Summary: I installed this Samsung D550 SoundBar on a Sony 55 inch BRAVIA TV. The original set up has the TV wall mounted and all the wires all hidden behind the TV. The thought of installing speakers and have wires all over the place was extremely unpleasant. This sound bar definitely solved the problem.
Summary: Hi all, This sounds real good . However if you are expecting big bass sound and full blown cinematic experience this is not what a soundbar does. However it is a great upgrade from the tv speakers. Love it and continue to enjoy it.
