Summary: I purchased this soon after getting a flat led Samsung TV, and learned quickly I needed to supplement the sound the TV could itself could produce. We have a truly open living/dining/kitchen (a big square room) with vaulted ceilings, and this soundbar produces plenty of sound to fill the space. It's great that it comes on automatically when it detects a signal, and the wireless subwoofer works great and provides flexibility for placement.
Summary: These sound really nice. I'm very happy with them. I wouldn't mind if the remote was a bit more customizable and friendly with universal remotes. I had to buy a Logitech Harmony 650 to use with this, but in retrospect that remote is awesome and I should have bought it to begin with, so I don't consider it a big loss. Anyways, it works very well with my TV, sounds great, and I've had no real issues at all.
Summary: I start with Cons because Im a lawyer and tend to look at things critically first: Cons: I had just mounted a tv so was excited to mount the soundbar, however, no screws for the mount was an annoyance. Especially when you pay $250 and its competitors are priced lower. 2nd, using a third remote for volume only, stinks. 3rd, because my soundbar is mounted I can only barely read the display.
Summary: The sound is amazing. Very clear and rich. The wireless sub-woofer works perfectly. 3D Sound has a low and high setting, and so far, the low produces a very realistic effect. It also looks very stylish (although the speakers are exposed). Have the bar only turned to about 25% volume, which is very loud (certainly compared to the TV turned to 90%). All-in-all, I would highly recommend this product to any considering it.
Summary: I have a big open room but not good for cords, so this is a great option for the price. There are a bunch of sound settings like cinema/game/music etc, and great features like 3D sound, Smart Volume, and an equalizer that normalizes the extreme loud and soft volumes. Honestly I've had the best sound for movies by turning off 3D and Smart Volume (the volume "bounces" with these features, and just using the normal "Pass" setting, turning up the bass and using the...
Summary: We own a Samsung 42" TV with rear-firing speakers and I constantly felt a need to use closed captions because I couldn't understand what anyone was saying (like on HBO Sunday night shows). Convinced I was not losing my hearing, I invested in the mid-level Samsung sound bar with subwoofer. The difference is truly night and day.
Summary: It has good sound for the money..Install was not difficult either..also needs more base.I installed in the bedroom with the Samsung 32 inch 403 HDTV. It is really a good combination in this application where space is at a premium and you don't want to spend big bucks.
