Summary: I'm not sure if my expectations were too high but the sound quality left me wanting a bit with this setup. The bass response is fairly weak. You can hardly hear the sub-woofer at lower volumes. It seems it needs to really be driven to get any sound out of it. The main speaker bar has several sound modes that work well but none really impressed. The best aspect of this product is how small and compact the speaker bar was.
Summary: ...and will not work with your Samsung TV remote control or your cable box remote control. Why on earth Samsung would design this product to NOT work with the Smart TV is an absolute mystery to me. I strongly recommend you keep looking.
Summary: I start with Cons because Im a lawyer and tend to look at things critically first: Cons: I had just mounted a tv so was excited to mount the soundbar, however, no screws for the mount was an annoyance. Especially when you pay $250 and its competitors are priced lower. 2nd, using a third remote for volume only, stinks. 3rd, because my soundbar is mounted I can only barely read the display.
Summary: I was excited to get this soundbar to replace my Vizio VSB200 (which I loved.) install was easy although pairing with the sub took a few tries. The sound was good and I felt the bass was adequate albeit I'm not an audiophile. I mainly watch programming with a lot of dialogue and did find it was harder to hear then on my Vizio and found myself always playing with the 3D sound setting and tuening the bass down however I felt with time I would be happy with it.
Summary: The sound is amazing. Very clear and rich. The wireless sub-woofer works perfectly. 3D Sound has a low and high setting, and so far, the low produces a very realistic effect. It also looks very stylish (although the speakers are exposed). Have the bar only turned to about 25% volume, which is very loud (certainly compared to the TV turned to 90%). All-in-all, I would highly recommend this product to any considering it.
Summary: My TV (40" 720p Samsung) had one speaker blow last year, and the other was on its way. I was looking for a soundbar that would produce decent sound but not be to large, complex or costly. I considered many options, but chose the HW-D450 because it had solid reviews, and an unbeatable price being last years model on the way out. With only two inputs (one digital and one analogue) this unit is not for high end systems or complex home setups.
Summary: I am so happy with my purchase. Amazing quality! I have no complaints. I purchased the wireless ipod transmitter and absolutely love that I can play my music thru the soundbar. Crisp clear sound with great bass.
Summary: the sound bar works fine and is loud but there is no controls for base, trebble etc. the wireless wolfer is very low to where it appears it is not on and you cannot control the volumn on it. the system turned out to be just a louder speaker system and very little surround sound effect.
Summary: I have a Samsung 40 inch tv. When i got the tv, I noticed the sound of the tv speakers was not the best, but okay. I say okay because I am not someone who needs to turn the sound way up...I prefer to listen to it at relatively low levels and figured that the tv speakers were ok. But on occassion I did want to turn the sound up and wanted some improvement. The Samsung HW-D450 gave me the improvement I was looking for...I think it sounds great..
