Summary: Bought this for 'mancave' in vacation home, the room is about 20x30 feet. Sounds great- I actually like it as much as my 5 piece Onkyo in primary home and if I didn't already have that I'd buy another one of these in a second. Looks sleek and nice too. Using it with a Samsung 58" plasma and Samsung blu-ray. I have had zero problems with anything Samsung be it TV, DVD or even cell phone- would not hesitate to buy anything Samsung.
Summary: Our LED TV has rear facing built-in speakers making it difficult to hear unless the room is very quiet. The Samsung speakers look great mounted on the wall with the TV and sound very good. The wireless subwoofer can be put anywhere in the room ( hidden in our case) and has really good sound. While not a replacement for true surround sound it is a drastic improvement over TV Speakers and well worth the cost. We are very happy with this purchase.
Summary: Mine just arrived today, and I am pretty pleased with it thus far. Take note that you will have to supply your own screws and wall anchors to place the hanging bracket on the wall, because Samsung doesn't provide them. I have this in my bedroom placed right below my Samsung LN46B550. I used to have an LN40A550, and that had a headphone jack that I connected a set of JBL Spyro speakers and sub-woofer to add some volumn to the volume.
Summary: Ok let's start by telling you, that I am not just some guy doing a review. I have purchased and tested 3 other Soundbars and tested all the rest in the stores... First was the Vizio Bar - Ok sound, but did not produce a real surround sound effect. And I was able to max... out the volume at 3am in the morning with out waking anyone up... Needless to say it ain't all that loud... Although it had easy one wire hookup with a fiber optic cable...
Summary: Bought this soundbar to go along with my 52" Samsung LCD. What a big improvement over the TV speakers! Watched 2 Blu-ray movies with it already and was very impressed by the sound. It was very easy to hookup. Just used the provided optical cable to connect the sound bar to the TV. Plugged in the subwoofer, plugged in the soundbar, turned on.... and the sub was instantly connected to the soundbar. It was up and running literally in minutes.
Summary: I have had the unit for 2 weeks now and am very pleased. Not desiring a full blown surround sound system (or the price)I read these reviews and this unit sounded like a simple cost effective upgrade that would do what I wanted. It has. The HWC450 delivers MUCH improved sound from my Samsung 42 inch plasma. The sound bar fills the audio gap that was evident with stock speakers. So now I have both sound AND the great visual of the plasma.
Summary: This sound bar is fantastic! It's a huge step up from the speakers on my Samsung 32" LCD t.v. The wireless sub woofer is stellar! Keep in mind though, this is not really surround sound, just "simulated" and I give it's rating based on being a fantastic sounding, high quality, simple and convenient set up. Do not under estimate the convenience of pairing this Samsung bar with a Samsung t.v.
Summary: Gone are the days of running speaker wire all around the base boards to get all the speakers set up for a surround sound system. Described to me as a surround sound system like a Bose Wave radio, I purchased this to pair with a new Samsung plasma TV. Not sure if I'd go so far as to call it a Bose, but it certainly puts out some good sound. Very easy to set up. Power it up once you've attached the optical cable to the television or DVD or satellite receiver.
Summary: We have a Samsung 42 inch LCD and Samsung BD-6900 blu ray player. Unfortunately, the room this is in isn't arranged properly for a complete surround sound system. That being said, this sound bar appeared to be just what we needed. It adds that extra sound that is missing from the tiny sound of LCD's. The bass is fairly rich and it cranks up fairly nicely when we want to feel part of the movie.
Summary: Before we begin, let's make sure we have one thing crystal clear; this is a sound bar, not a true 5.1 home theater system, so please do not expect it to perform the same. Ok, now with that said, I have to say I did a lot of research regarding sound bars vs 2.1 or 5.1 ht systems. The reason I want to get a sound bar vs a complete home theater system is that this is for a medium size room upstairs (not bedroom, but an activity room)and I do not want to run wires around the...
