Summary: After about a year's very infrequent use the sound bar would display "PROT" immediately when turned on. It would then shut itself off. Samsung Service indicated that the unit was overheating. Since it can't be turned on its hard to imagine that it is overheating. The price for repair was a minimum of $160. This unit is a piece of garbage and Samsung is not standing behind it. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Summary: I usually have good luck with refurbished unit. In fact; this was the first time I received a defective item. It is very cumbersome to repackage and ship back items such as rhis. I wish sellers did better quality control on their items before selling.
Summary: I ordered a refurbished unit. I unwrapped everything, hooked up the soundbar to the TV using the digital cable and followed the instructions to get the subwoofer to connect, but could not. The sound bar worked properly but, I couldn't get the subwoofer to connect. So I called Samsung and tried to get it to connect. We worked on it for a 1/2 hour. The subwoofer's blue connect light would flash as soon as it was plugged into the outlet.
The unit I got had to be switched out. However it sounds & works great

Summary: For the money you cant beat it. I really like how easy it was to hook everything up. I was up and running in less than 4 minutes. The wireless subwoofer is much more powerful than I originaly expected.
Priced a Best Buy for $400, a steal, so far I can't get enough.

Summary: Brought a refurbished product, first time ever buying refurbished. So far, product has by far exceeded my expectations. Small bedroom 150 sq feet, thing rooks, does everything I needed and more. Plugged it in went downstairs for 5 minutes and came back to everything being synced up, my Samsung TV, Samsung DVD player. Got my new tv installed on the was, and every night I've watched a different blue ray movie just because.
Summary: Bought this for 'mancave' in vacation home, the room is about 20x30 feet. Sounds great- I actually like it as much as my 5 piece Onkyo in primary home and if I didn't already have that I'd buy another one of these in a second. Looks sleek and nice too. Using it with a Samsung 58" plasma and Samsung blu-ray. I have had zero problems with anything Samsung be it TV, DVD or even cell phone- would not hesitate to buy anything Samsung.
Summary: I have had the unit for 2 weeks now and am very pleased. Not desiring a full blown surround sound system (or the price)I read these reviews and this unit sounded like a simple cost effective upgrade that would do what I wanted. It has. The HWC450 delivers MUCH improved sound from my Samsung 42 inch plasma. The sound bar fills the audio gap that was evident with stock speakers. So now I have both sound AND the great visual of the plasma.
Summary: I purchased this sound bar to go with our Samsung 46" TV. I read the reviews here, and saw the responses from some people who had issue where the sound bar automatically switching between INPUT1 and INPUT2, causing the sound to go out. Since this was a relatively small # of reviews, I decided to purchase and hope for the best.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Sony HT-CT150 sound bar that I have been using for my living room setup. I do have to admit that that I miss the 3.1 channel that the Sony offered but I was having too many problems with volume fluxuations and felt I needed a better solution. The Samsung is a fairly powerful 2.1 channel sound bar that is very easy to set up and configure.
