Samsung HT-X250T

The HT-X250T surround sound home theater system from Samsung is a 5.1 channel set comprised of a DVD/CD player head unit, subwoofer, center channel speaker and a pair each of front and rear satellite speakers. The Samsung HT-X250T, which was awarded the CES Design Award in 2007, offers numerous features including USB Host functionality, progressive scanning and HDMI connectivity (with AnyNet+).

Head Unit

The Samsung HT-X250T’s head unit measures 18.1 x 5.1 x 11 inches (W x H x D) and provides a total output power of 600 watts (RMS). The system’s DVD/CD player has a single disc capacity and supports the following types of optical media: CD, CD-R/RW, DVD, DVD+R/RW DVD-R/RW and DVD-Audio. It also supports the playback of MP3, WMA, JPEG, DIVX (including XVID) digital media compression formats.

In addition to optical media, the user can make use of the Samsung HT-X250T’s USB Host functionality. This feature allows the user to playback supported digital file formats saved in a USB flash disk or other compatible devices. The HT-X250T also offers an FM radio tuner.

Along with HDMI connectivity, Samsung has also equipped the HT-X250T with its AnyNet+ technology. This allows the HT-X250T as well as other connected AnyNet+ devices to be controlled via a single remote control.

The receiver offers built-in decoders for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS.

Speaker System

The HT-X250T is compatible with Samsung wireless speaker kits (available separately). The front and rear speakers measure 3.6 x 10.9 x 6.2 inches (W x H x D). The center channel measures 14.3 x 3.3 x 6.8 inches (W x H x D) while the subwoofer has the following dimensions: 6.9 x 15.3 x 15.6 inches (W x H x D).
