It works, but noisy

W. Maes, Amazon
12 March 2013
  • Summary: I should have listened to all of the other negative reviews for the noise problem. After being on for just a short period, the fan always comes on and geez is it loud...if you have it in another room, then not a problem I suppose. It does have good sound though.

Extremely happy with my purchase.

franpesoli, Ebay
10 September 2012
  • Summary: The DVD player works great. I am so pleased to have been able to find a replacement DVD player for my surround sound system. My system was expensive and to replace the whole system just because the DVD player died was insane, all the speakers worked.

Great unit for the price

Ryan, Amazon
6 January 2012
  • Summary: I've had this unit for almost 2 years and haven't ever had a major problem with anything. May not be as good of sound as you'd get out of a much more expensive unit, but for the price it does a GREAT job. Very happy with it.

Be Careful of False Advertising

Chris C, Amazon
8 January 2011
  • Summary: I want to say off of the bat, do not buy this if you intend to use the "Wireless Rear Speakers" feature and you have an 802.11B, G, or 2.4 GHz N wireless network. Although the box, manual, website, FCC, and resellers all say this operates on the 5.8 GHz band, that's not true.

Don't buy

az_guy10, Amazon
23 November 2010
  • Summary: I bought this because it was the last wireless system at Target and all the other stores nearby. It worked well for about the first couple of weeks, but then started giving me problems. The rear speakers cut in an out sometimes.

Samsung fire hazard

Amber T. Hardman "Amber H.", Amazon
26 March 2010
  • Summary: What can I say. Bought this item to go with a full new set for theater in the house. Worked great for a few months and then room filled with smoke and it was done. Got ahold of Samsung because of the fire and warranty they were less than helpful.I ended up having to buy a new one and then taking my...

Love this system

Amazon Customer "Priscilla G", Amazon
7 February 2010
  • Summary: Easy to set up, and was surprised how well it interfaced with my Sharp TV. Like the 'no button' barely touch controls. Amazing product for the price. Researched it on the internet and maybe could have gotten it 10-20 bucks cheaper, but didn't know the online retailers. Trust Amazon so bought here.

Extreme Wireless Interference!

Scott "Scott", Amazon
23 January 2010
  • Summary: I bought this product a few months ago because I wanted a 5 CD changer and wireless rear speakers. Setup of the product was fairly easy, although the manual didn't specify (at least to what I could see) that you had to put in a CD to calibrate the speakers.

Great Value

K. Boline "Abeachguy", Amazon
17 January 2010
  • Summary: Unit works great. Sound quality is very good for the price. The receiver device for the "wireless" speakers has a cooling fan that is a little noisy, but not bad. I've plugged a memory stick into the USB port containing MP3 music and JPEG picture files.
