Excerpt: This is the first ever surround sound system that I have bought so can not compare it to any others. It comes in a sleek black and looks great. It was very easy to set up, did not take very long, and the speakers are easy to hide. The sound is amazing! I have not had the volume past 22 as I live in a very small house and even at that it was very loud. I use it on my 42" television and it really gives it that cinema feel.
Pros: Looks good and speakers are easy to hide .
Cons: As far as I know it only comes in black, so not much choice in colour .
If all you want is true surround sound then this if for you

Excerpt: I decided to upgrade my surround sound system sometime ago to take advantage of true 5.1 surround sound via coax or fibre optic while playing my Xbox or watching movies. I decided on the HT X30 as to be honest, was the cheapest I could find, and was even cheaper than expected as it was an ex-display model. Setting up is a piece of cake, the speaker ends are colour coded so you get the correct front/rear and left/right positions.
Great idea poor execution no reliabilty from my experience.

Excerpt: I purchased my one of these 18 Months ago from my local Currys and to be honest it has never worked properly from the moment I bought it. This player has some great features such as digital upscaler, DIvX playback & a USB interface which you can plug your external Hard drive into and play your favourate movie rip's or your entire MP3 collection. The first problem i had was that the audio was not synced with the visuals, this is using official rented DVD's.
Excerpt: Having purchased the Samsung HT-X30 in a package deal with a Samsung 42" plasma, i can say that i was impressed staright away. The main dvd unit is the same piano black as my tv, with an eluminated blue power button, again the same as my tv. This system upscales into HD, 1080 to precise, when coupled to an hdtv via a hdmi cable the quality is outstanding, maybe not as good as a genuine hd player, but not bad.
Pros: clean looking, excellent quailty, low price, great sound
Excerpt: We have just purchased this system with a 32" Samsung TV. Although at first it was confusing (we have only had Sony products before) we set it up quickly and it is a good looking system. The surround speakers are sleek and well made, easy to hide and have the advantage of (the rear two) going wireless with the purchase of an extra wireless card. The woofer box is large in size but compact enough to remain inconspicuous to the viewer.
Pros: Sleek speaker set up, great sound and playback features
Cons: DVD player looks like a 1980s video recorder !
