Summary: I boought mine at Walmart yesterday at Walmart ($278 + tax). I bought it becasue of the comments of how easy it was to connect. "Easy" being a relative term. Any way I removed the 5 wired speakers which came with my Samsung DVD player. I plugged in the included optical cable from the sound bar to the Samsung 46" TV, plugged in an HDMI cable from the DVD to the TV - and voila (waa-la)! Everything worked as advertised.
Summary: I got this because I ordered the Samsung UN46B7000LED TV and the BD1600 Blue Ray Player and I wanted everything Samsung. I also have kids so I didn't want a loud or expensive system. I waited until the price was <$200, this is a fair price when comparing it to other systems. First, the setup was simple and easy, I used the included optical cable. I had no problem pairing the sub. Second, the sound was impressive. The speakers gave a good sound range.
Summary: I bought this samsung soundbar to match with my NEW Samsung 42" LCD. Despite some negative reviews I was skeptical and afraid to purchase it. After researching other brands I relented and bought it anyway hoping I would not have the problems others had mentioned. Much to my surprise I am grateful to announce that it has performed out of the box exactly as it is supposed to.

Summary: The Samsung HT-WS1R Sound Bar installed without incident and works like a charm. However, when I attempted accessing the internet to register the product my main PC adapter failed, went to my test PC and it to failed, finally tried connecting to Samsung with my notebook and it too FAILED. I switched off the HT-WS1R Sound bar and all three machines were back on line with access to the internet.
Summary: I added this to my Samsung LN55B650 55-Inch with Red Touch of Color. After reading some of the reviews I was in doubt about buying this soundbar, but I liked the fact it matched the TV. So far I am very happy with the sound. I have had no connectivity issues with the sub woofer, but it is only a few feet from the bar. Maybe the speakers on the LN55650 are total crap, but it makes a huge difference.
Summary: I'll start off by saying the built in speakers on HDTV's are, not that great. So when you purchase any hdtv, plan on buying some type of aftermarket sound especially if you want qualtiy sound to cover a larger open space ie living room dining room. For the bedroom the installed, stock system will probably work just fine. For our living room/dining room, my wife and I did not want to mount and wire in satallite speakers through every corner.
Summary: This is a very good speaker system /soubdbar and woofer/ designed for the people who would like to have better sound than they ussually have on their TV units, and at the same time do not have enough room for the 5 or 7 speaker system and the AV radio. This Samsung unit should be paired with the TV set through the video cable only. It has three modes of reproducing the sound: Movies, Music and Speech mode.
