Samsung HT-TZ515T

The HT-TZ515T is a home theater system from Samsung that features, among others, a 5-disc DVD/CD changer and a 5.1 surround sound speaker set with wireless rear satellites.

Head Unit

The Samsung HT-TZ515T’s head unit measures approximately 16.9 x 3.0 x 17.3 inches (W x H x D). The DVD/CD changer has a capacity for 5 discs and supports the following disc types: DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD-Audio, CD, and CD-R/RW. In addition, MP3, WMA, JPEG, WMV and DIVX (including XVID) digital media formats are also supported and can be played back by the HT-TZ515T. The DVD player includes support for upscaling standard definition video to 1080p resolution for a High Definition experience.

Along with its HDMI connectivity, Samsung has included support for AnyNet+. The AnyNet+ technology allows the user to control the HT-TZ515T and other connected and compatible components with a single remote control.

Other notable features include the built-in iPod dock and USB Host functionality. With a USB Host input, the user can plug in a USB flash disk or other supported USB devices and have the Samsung HT-TZ515T playback the audio, photo or video files saved in it.

In addition to FM radio, the system is also XM Satellite Radio-ready.

Speaker System

The HT-TZ515T’s speaker system is a 5.1 channel set that has a rated total power output of 1200 watts (RMS). The subwoofer measures 7.9 x 15.7 x 16.5 inches (W x H x D) while the center channel speaker measures 11.8 x 4.0 x 3.6 inches (W x H x D). The pair of front speakers and the wireless rear speakers feature a Tallboy form factor, measuring 3.5 x 47.2 x 3.6 inches (W x H x D). The front and rear speakers also come with a stand measuring 11 x 11 inches.
