Summary: This is an excellent system which provides quality sound for the cost. However, after having it for a little over a year, it has started to switch inputs automatically, which essentially renders the system useless. After looking online, this is apparently a problem with the touch panel. This problem has also been reported with Samsung TVs as well. This very disappointing since I would otherwise be very pleased with the product.
Summary: This product has many great features BUT only functioned well for approx. seven(7) months. We have been having phenomenal PROBLEMS with the BD video input via HDMI. We just suddenly cannot switch the input to enjoy 'Blu-Rays' nor 'DVD' We live in the Caribbean and bought this product in the U.S.
Summary: Blu-Ray did not work. I love my Samsung TV, but don't buy anything else from them. Just over a year ago I bought state of the art Home Theater Blu-Receiver which was returned once and never worked right and finally stopped working. Like the sucker that I am I bought this System thinking it would "match" well with my TV. After waiting weeks to receive, it won't play any disk.
Summary: Easy to install, but the sound would suddenly stutter, and I would need to shut it down to stop. Worked with Samsung tech support, and ended up doing a hard reset, together with downloading and reinstalling. Eureka, the sound stuttering went away...only now, the HT and the remote would freeze, with only the on/off button working. I saw this problem in other reviews.
Summary: 1. Macintosh software to play your computer files through the Home Theater system over your WiFi network (called "Allshare") is not available and Macs are not supported. Samsung's attitude is, basically, nobody uses Macs (or Linux, for that matter.) 2. System lacks a simple bass/treble control and a basic L-R balance control. I received this system as a gift, otherwise, I'd consider returning it.
Summary: My unit was repaired and shortly afterward the warranty period, my unit had the same exact problem and Samsung did not acknowledge it. Samsung's customer support is worthless, DO NOT for one second believe that you are in good hands! They refused to correct my problem given the circumstance and I will not spend my hard earned money on a product that will eventually fail.
