Front pannel has a problem

  • Summary: After some time, the player starts to change channels and volume by itself. Sometimes I was watching a movie and then the player changes to other HDMI input for nothing. After studying about this, I saw it's a common problem between users and it's in the front touch pannel which starts "thinking" you touched a button even if you are far away from the product. It's been 2 months I'm trying to fix this with Samsung support with no success.

VERY Expensive for what you get

  • Summary: I am very disappointed in this system. The interface is PAINFULLY slow and the unit resets to TV speakers every time you turn it off, requiring you to manually reset to 'Home Theatre' mode every time you want to watch something. It is very expensive compared to other options. The 'wireless' rear speakers are in fact, WIRED. They must connect to a base unit that is in the back of the room.

  • Summary: This system has worked properly for only one month, after that I cannot even use it as when I am watching a movie or streaming Netflix it changes input selections and starts opening and closing. Called support 4 times and they were supposed to send me an email with return instructions and I never received it. Now I am stuck with a useless system and wasted my hard earned money. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Summary: Compre este sistema en el mes de Abril 2013 y lo he usado unas 6 veces desde entonces, en el mes de Julio la bandeja de disco empezo a abrirse sola inabilitando todo. After 3 month the system will start opening and closing the disc tray on its own. I've read many reports of others with the same system doing this. This error completely disables your system as it will change input every time the disc tray opens.

Worked well....BUT!

  • Summary: This product worked well and had the wireless rear speakers I need. However, 11 DAYS after my warranty expired, the unit began malfunctioning making it unusable. It kept cycling through the various input options continuously, pausing on each for about 10 seconds before going to the next one. I normally have it set to HDMI1 for TV, but it wouldn't stay on that setting.

  • Summary: Don't waste your money. The surround sound automatically switches from home theater mode to TV speaker mode in the middle of a movie for no apparent reason. The remote lacks a button to simply change it back and therefore you have to exit the movie to go to the home menu and select settings to reset it. If you are watching Netflix this can take several minutes to exit, change and reload the movie.

  • Summary: After about 1 year the system will start opening and closing the disc tray on its own. I've read many reports of others with the same system doing this. This error completely disables your system as it will change input every time the disc tray opens. Even disconnecting the drive won't stop the input from changing when it attempts to open and close it. Since the problem will present shortly after 1 year of activating the device, it will no longer be under warranty.

Product Poor, Merchant OK

  • Summary: The center speaker was defective out the box. The side and surround speakers are small and seem cheap. The Smart Hub interactive features were slow and somewhat clunky. Samsung customer support was eager to help but turned out to be ineffective and a waste of time. On the plus side, the merchant (Tiger Direct) paid for return shipping and issued a prompt refund.

Dead on arrival

  • Summary: My unit was never able to load a DVD. Setup went smooth, wifi setup no issues, updated the software over the internet, went through sound setup without issue. After the initial setup, the unit powered down, displayed "off", and would not power back on...required a power plug pull. Once powered back on, the home screen was displayed, however, all menu selections displayed a message "Please close tray door" when selected, including the settings menu.
