Summary: Right out of the box the DVD won't play ANY DVD format. The sound is very good for the price, but the whole reason to purchase a Blu-ray player is to play DVD's....hello.... You will wind up sending the unit out to be repair because Samsung won't do what most other manufacturer's do and send you the replacement along with a UPS label to send the bad unit back in.
Summary: I love my home theater system. Price was great. The sound is awesome, it was easy to set up. I was amazed how easy I was able to connect to the internet and update my system. I would recommend this product.
Summary: I use this as the sound system for my television. It works great for that. The other day I tried playing a DVD and found that the DVD player doesn't work. At this point the only thing I feel is disappointment. What a waste of money.
Summary: This player is easy to hook up and the sound is good. However, a number of problems exist with is player. 1.) First is the default output for the system is D-In. If you do not have D-In it still goes to this and you have to change it. When you cannot support you get the same answer and you cannot change not make any of them the default. 2.) When you get optical out cable the resolution for the TV is too high.
Summary: I replaced an older Samsung system that was comparible in price at the time. The system works well enough, and the inputs and outputs are what they are. The sound that is produced is good, but the low frequency range is missing. After playing a couple of full sound audio tracks, my thought is why did they even bother to include a sub? Secondary complaints are the hard wired speakers with custom wire end connectors for the reciever connections.
