Summary: We bought a Samsung Blue Ray Home Theater last Fall and loved it. A couple of weeks ago, there was a bad storm and a power surge killed the Blue Ray player so we bought another one to replace it. The first time we came home from the store we realized we didn't get the wireless version, so we packed it up and got the wireless version. For some reason when we set it up, the video feed didn't go from the BR player to the TV.
Summary: This systems sub woofer is a joke. My 7 year old Philips system for less than 200 blows this away. If its not defective I don't know what you people have been listening to all these years? 1970s TV. Sending it back!
Summary: We bought this against our better judgement. We read the reviews and saw this did have issues but tried it anyways because of the dimensions fitting into our in Wall Entertainment Unit. The first system we got the main unit had major issues, freezing, skipping and not opening. Sometimes the sound would switch off for no reason. We got a second unit only to have a terrible buzzing sound coming from it. We learned our lesson and returned them.
Summary: This one's going back...at a $40 return shipping cost to me. Terrible product. Advertises many internet and connectivity options yet is not wireless. I love the picture in the manual that shows a cable running from the device through the house to a router. So funny. In this day and age, when a $50 wrist watch has wireless capabilities I'm not sure why Samsung is selling a product like this. It's completely out dated.
Summary: I like the look of it, and it's easy to use. but overall It is junk. the entire system runs far too slow. All apps freeze and internet is too slow. I dont even bother using it for anything other then using it for the surround sound and only use it hooked to my cable box. I dont bother to attempt using the apps or internet anymore, its just not worth the frustration and hassle. have had it for 9 months and was hoping that upgrades might come along and nothing so far.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, slow, apps freeze, not wireless
Summary: Works ok. No iPod dock or WiFi. The remote is not well designed, with two tiny buttons for volume up/down, which are the two most used buttons... But the deciding factor to return the system was the poor sound quality. Tiny speakers and tinny sound. I am not a techie, but side by side with my old Philips $160 system, the difference was huge.
