Not Worth It

Cynthia Figueroa, Amazon
1 December 2014
  • Summary: I bought this last October. In May, it broke down I sent it in to the manufacturer to fix it and they sent it back all scratched up. It broke down AGAIN now that the warranty ran out, I wasted my money. The picture and sound quality isn't as good as advertised. I would recommend staying away from Samsung (the same thing happened to my TV). Samsung is now an overpriced cheap hack.

Love it

GlitterLove, Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: I have an average size room and I have to say that the speakers sound really loud being that they are small. As they say good things comes in small packages. They sound just as good as my bigger home theater that I have in my living room. Nice picture quality and sound. Hook up was easy for me considering I am a woman. Speakers has color coded ends that you connect to the color codes on the back of the system. Peace of cake for me. I am not a read instructions person.

Not for prewired rooms

Jherseygirl, Amazon
9 February 2014
  • Summary: I'm sure this sound system is great, but I had to return it. The house we bought has the living room prewired for surround sound, so in the 5 spots around the room there are just little speaker wires sticking out. After unpacking this, we discovered that the speakers have ends on them that will only plug into the Samsung unit. So, we could take the risk in splicing the wires to see if we could make it work or send it back and get something else. We sent it back.

HT E-3500

mike, Amazon
5 February 2014
  • Summary: This is a great system for the price. It does have too many wires attached to the speaker -- but we all know that anyway. I suggest that you get the HDMI cable that does not come with the set-- then you will have no problems. It also does come with the ferrite core for the cord if there are any interference issues - but I had none. This is a great complement to my TV and the sound is much better and even more than I need.

Home Theater

luecho, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: I followed the setup instructions, and it works great with my Samsung tv. It produces 3-dimensional, surround sound. It's setup in a relatively small room, so 500 watts is plenty of power. Also, I installed an optional optical cable between the tv and home theater, in addition to the HDMI cable, and can listen to tv programs through the home theater.

Some Movies Skip

Jason, Amazon
30 December 2013
  • Summary: Maybe this is just a coincidence, but any time we try to play movies from Universal, they skip and freeze up. Since this does not have WiFi, the update process is a pain unless the player is right next to your internet source where you can manually connect it. The USB method of updating is a pain. Anyway, even after updating the firmware, a decent number of movies still won't play and they're all Universal movies.
