Summary: the product works great and sounds amazing for the price. i would give 5 stars for what you get for the price. but only rated three because when i was shipped to me it came without a remote and it took almost 4 weeks for to get a remote.
Summary: I would give this system 5 stars EXCEPT for the Netflix connectivity issue!!! I've tried every "solution" on the internet and contacted Samsung. I've rebooted my router, uploaded the firmware update, reinitialized the system, set the damned time zone, changed the cables, etc. NOTHING is working. There's a Netflix button on my remote control. That would give you the impression that it should connect to Netflix.
Summary: So I got this last night, and it seems good, with a couple of exceptions: First and foremost, it DOES NOT come with built in Wi-Fi, despite what you think the description says. You need to buy a separate Wi-Fi dongle. This is really irritating because the manufacturers description on Amazon specifically says: "Built-In Wi-Fi With built-in Wi-Fi, no additional cables or wires are needed to connect to your wireless home network.
Summary: The product information noted on the site page "from the manufacturer" is incorrect. WiFi is not built into this HTIB. There is conflicting information on the site as the technical details note 'wifi ready' however the other information on the page notes 'wifi build-in'. To connect wirelessly you need to purchase the Samsung LAN connector (sold separately of course).
Summary: I bought this off of a Black Friday deal at Best Buy. Overall it is - ok. The sound quality is decent, the SmartHub features are nice - although Amazon Instant Videos are not available. My biggest complains about this device are - it freezes up from time to time while accessing some of the internet apps and from time to time while watching movies/TV shows on Netflix the screen will flicker.
Summary: My only complaint with this system, is that it freezes up from time to time. I have to turn it off, then back on. Other than that, love the content on the SmartHub, sound quality is great, and the blu ray makes all the difference on my tv.
Summary: Novice; not audiophile. BUT, I follow directions EXACTLY; never had a problem setting up any other AV / computer equipment in the past 20+ years. Getting this up & running with my new Samsung LCD HDTV LN40D630M3F and Comcast Motorola DVR DCX3400-M was rocket science. Room 13 ft x 13 ft, plus length to reach speakers on 3ft stands & system "box" on shelf. PROPRIETARY wire terminations at box; bare at spkrs.
Summary: Having done extensive research I purchased this system to compliment my Samsung 46 D8000 TV and what a disappointment it turned out to be. No issues with the build quality and appearance which is a very attractive polished gloss black, and setting up was straight forward - but from the onset lip-sync problems appeared which couldn't be corrected with the delay function, I had to resort to switching the unit off and back on again to rectify.
Summary: Onduidelijke handleiding en storingsgevoelig. Als je een probleempje moet oplossen met de handleiding valt er niet uit te komen. De website van Samsung is ook geen hulp en de klantenservice kan alleen als oplossing bieden resetten of apparaat insturen. We hadden al een gelijksoortige ervaring met een All-in-one printer van Samsung, maar omdat deze bij de consumentenbond zo goed uit de test kwam hebben we het toch maar geprobeerd. Tot onze spijt. Nooit meer Samsung.
