Summary: I've owned this system for over a year now and had no reliability issues though it seems many have. I'm searching for another unit as a gift for Xmas and read through these mixed Amazon user reviews. Here are my thoughts on the C6900W after 15 months of ownership: I researched many of these HTIBs and while most have a good bass like the 6900W, the clarity and crispness of the midrange and treble sets this unit apart from the others.
Summary: for the price I paid is excellent. It is easy to install. the sound is good but for small areas. The rear speakers ( surround sound) are not totally wireless. the only part wireless is the receiver for those speakers.
Summary: Bought this HTIB used for about $450 shipped. Works great and video / sound quality is amazing from the product. Only problem I had so far is that the HDMI output stopped working after I left my xbox on top of the main box. I had it shipped and serviced for free by Samsung.
Summary: For $500 you can buy a quality home theater with Blu-ray and surround sound, with access to Netflix, Pandora, Facebook, YouTube, and other popular websites. You can easily spend $5000 on a home theater, so you know who you are if you're considering this price pont. While there are more than a few negative reviews on this product, I had none of the issues experienced by some.
Summary: I PURCHASED THIS UNIT NEW FROM AMAZON AND IT HAS NOT PERFORMED AS ADVERTISED. THE SOUND SYSTEM IS NOT STABLE, IT CAN CHANGE FROM A HEAVY ECHO TO MONO, ONLY AFTER TURNING THE SYSTEM OFF WILL IT RETURN TO NORMAL. IT DROPS THE STREAMING OF NETFLIX AND THE REMOTE DOES NOT ALWAYS ACTIVATE THE PLAYER, IT MUST BE ACTIVATED MANUALLY.
Summary: The most stressful part of purchasing this sound systems was to read the good and the bad reviews. The good sound to good to be true. they look like a Marketing person was writing it.. Too long too beautiful. The bad ones where extremely harsh and sounds like an exaggeration. So far I like it, works well, you can control the sound according with the distance of your TV... the wireless back speaker work well. I love the Pandora music and netflix option.
Summary: I purchased an MA Home Theater System and this Samsung HT-C6900W Home Theater System in order to compare the two. The Samsung HT-C6900W was poorly packed and the dvd slide door was broken off along with 2 supports. It was laying in the top of box unprotected. When I connected it along with all the speakers, there was an obvious short, and only one speaker would provide sound. The MA Home Theater System arrive well, and worked properly with my Samsung 55 inch 3D TV.
Summary: I purchased this system because it was one of two systems that had all the features I wanted: Blu-Ray, 5.1 surround with wireless rear speakers, and at least two hdmi inputs. The other product is the Sony BDV-HZ970W, but when I looked at it at Best Buy, the speakers looked cheaply made, and it is much more expensive. The sound quality is very good for the price range, and setup was a breeze. There are only two things that I think could use improvement.
