Good, but With Quirks

V. D. Scott, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: The unit sounds good, and has nice Internet function (Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc.) It has a few quirks that it shouldn't. At random, it will switch inputs. It also has a 3-15 second silent delay when stopping and starting a video input like skipping commercials or previews. It's very irritating.

2 year review

WilderCrue, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this system about two years ago. Set-up is super easy and the unit syncs up with my Samsung '60 LED TV just great. The sound is average at best for a 1000 watt system, but using it for gaming (xbox,ps3) id have to say the sound improves to above average quality.

Skips & Freezes, no fix

Gustavo Lara M., Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: DVDs play OK, but Bluerays tend to freeze & skip, some movies like Skyfall tend to stop playing half way. I've tried different discs for the same movie & it freezes exactly on the same scene & second. No software updates any more. Very poor product & customer support.

Must have gotten a lemon

Mugsy, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: I bought one of these units in Sept 2010 and it has been troublesome ever since. (1) First problem was that you could not access the Blu-Ray tray from the top front panel. Sent it in for repair and it worked for about 2 - 3 months then the problem returned. I gave up.

Input source problems

124call, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: Great system except for one glaring flaw. If you have a Samsung TV and a cable box or satellite box that isn't Anynet compatible and you use HDMI cables to connect everything, the input source will always default to Digital Input.

This is no Multiregion code for this device.

Guru, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: Two issues in general: - System cannot take just the audio in & play. you need to switch on the TV to play the audio. (example apple tv connected to HDMI1). - They provide a IPOD doc, that only works for ipod & not iphone. Again you need to turn on the TV to play the music - NO Multiregion code.

nice sound, but too many steps

Barbara, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: We've had this for a year and it creates a nice surround sound system. However, it tries to default to the DVD each time you put it on and turn on the TV; I have to reset it to the speakers for TV even if it was on that when I turned the TV off.

Just doesn't work

Action Sports James Mears, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: Horrible product. We have had several repairs and one replacement and after less than one year the new one no longer works either. Freezes up and now will play dvd's but not Blu Rays. Tech support is no help! Surround sound only works occasionally. And yes we had it professionally installed.

Really versatile home theater system.

J. Bellush, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: I recently purchased the Samsung HT-C6600 from Sam's Club. I really like this product. Hook-up is easy, the sound is great. The Blu-Ray player plays Blu-ray discs, regular dvd's, DIVX discs, MP4 discs, mp3 cd's and dvd's, and audio CD's.
