Summary: DVDs play OK, but Bluerays tend to freeze & skip, some movies like Skyfall tend to stop playing half way. I've tried different discs for the same movie & it freezes exactly on the same scene & second. No software updates any more. Very poor product & customer support.
Summary: Horrible product. We have had several repairs and one replacement and after less than one year the new one no longer works either. Freezes up and now will play dvd's but not Blu Rays. Tech support is no help! Surround sound only works occasionally. And yes we had it professionally installed.
Summary: I bought this system about two years ago. Set-up is super easy and the unit syncs up with my Samsung '60 LED TV just great. The sound is average at best for a 1000 watt system, but using it for gaming (xbox,ps3) id have to say the sound improves to above average quality. I've had good luck with the Netflix and Vudu apps using my verizon wireless router @ 15.5 mps. I've watched 100's of movies with min reloading or freezes.
Summary: The unit sounds good, and has nice Internet function (Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc.) It has a few quirks that it shouldn't. At random, it will switch inputs. It also has a 3-15 second silent delay when stopping and starting a video input like skipping commercials or previews. It's very irritating. Samsung's standard fix is to reset to factory defaults, requiring minutes to redo the settings. And it doesn't fix the problem.
Summary: I bought one of these units in Sept 2010 and it has been troublesome ever since. (1) First problem was that you could not access the Blu-Ray tray from the top front panel. Sent it in for repair and it worked for about 2 - 3 months then the problem returned. I gave up. (2) Every time I tuned the unit on I would lose the wireless network connection after about 5 - 10 minutes. I would have to re-enter the password and all was fine until I tuned it off. What a pain.
Summary: Two issues in general: - System cannot take just the audio in & play. you need to switch on the TV to play the audio. (example apple tv connected to HDMI1). - They provide a IPOD doc, that only works for ipod & not iphone. Again you need to turn on the TV to play the music - NO Multiregion code. Does not play other country DVDs. - Samsung TV to Samsung HTC - auto detect does not work properly. Every time i browse over D-IN to HDMI....TV gets switched on automatically.
Summary: We've had this for a year and it creates a nice surround sound system. However, it tries to default to the DVD each time you put it on and turn on the TV; I have to reset it to the speakers for TV even if it was on that when I turned the TV off. Sometimes it has to be set two or 3 times before it stays on that setting. very annoying; was hoping it would integrate better with my Panasonic TV.
Summary: Great system except for one glaring flaw. If you have a Samsung TV and a cable box or satellite box that isn't Anynet compatible and you use HDMI cables to connect everything, the input source will always default to Digital Input. As a practical matter what this means is that no matter what remote you use to control the system, you will always have to also grab the Home Theater remote and change the input source. Total pain in the rear.
Summary: I don't know what the negative reviews are all about as far as the Wifi is concerned. I stream Netflix, Hudu, the free games and everything else with ease. Quite possibly they have defective internet and that's the problem or they don't have the wireless adapter but you can also direct wire the system with the ethernet connection. I have never had a problem and highly recommend this product to anyone that wants a true home theater experience.
hesitant to buy at first, but the system works great and looks awesome as well!
