Summary: This product gave me a fit from git. It set up easy enough, even the internet connection/wifi part. However, playing a DVD the system pauses by itself and you have to hit play, it skips chapters, sometimes jumping ahead. This happens with CDs as well, pauses, stops playing or skips around.
Summary: It took 2 days to hook it up. Then it would take off form HDMI 1 to D In just cause it wanted to. THen the volumne would zip up to MAX or Min. Support was useless. I sent in the first unit 3 times. They finally decided to send me a refurbished unit (lucky me). The second one does the same thing.
Summary: Purchased the HT-C6500 in June of this year (2010). Two weeks ago turned the unit on to watch a movie and it caught on fire...that was bad enough, but trying to get the less than 5 month old unit replaced has been a test in patience which I'm failing!
Summary: DVD player broke within six months of purchasing our $600 Blu-Ray HT system. We mailed it off (paying $40 to ship it) just to have it shipped back to us STILL BROKEN. All they did was remove the DVD that was stuck in there. None of the problems were addressed (wouldn't open and wouldn't turn on).
Summary: This unit would be 5 stars... if the audio and video would sync properly. But, alas, it doesn't. This unit has an A/V Sync control feature that lets you set a number of 0 to 300. That refers to ms delay for audio, so the larger the number, the more delay you apply to the audio.
Summary: Bought this product hoping it would be a quick affordable option for home theatre purposes. It has been nothing but a headache. When we opened the box to try the blu ray we found that it required an update before playing the first video.
Summary: I've had this unit about 2 months. I turned it on this morning and smoke billowed from the back vents. If I hadn't been standing directly in front of it, there's no telling what kind of damage the fire would have done. My advice is to never leave this unit plugged in and unattended.
