which is great. It plays very loud and sounds very good ...

Summary: I honestly don't know what people expect out of a $250 HTIB??? Got one guy complaining that is barely louder than the TV? Are you sh*****g me?If that's the case then YOU hooked it up wrong. I give it 4 stars strictly based on cost to performance ratio, which is great. It plays very loud and sounds very good FOR WHAT IT IS. Wannabe "AUDIOPHILE's" open your wallet and buy a 'separates' based system, with the accompanying 2-3k price tag, then you can bitch about that.
Summary: I don't like this system at all. 99% of the time the DVD player won't work, the sound is muffled even though it's suppose to be 1000 watts. I will never buy a Samsung home theater system again.
Summary: We use mostly to provide better sound for watching mostly cable/dvr with an occasional dvd/blu-ray and have been happy. The unit just died this week (crackled and then lights out) so I called Samsung and they offered to fix it for $80. I have to admit that I'm not that happy about having to pay that much to get it fixed, but based on the cost of a similar replacement I decided to take the chance.
Summary: First off, I love the home theater system... but only when it works. It needs to function properly for me to be able to enjoy it. Be careful. The rear speakers tend to crackle and don't always pair up to the main unit. My center channel is now acting up after a firmware update. I've contacted Samsung about this and their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! The service agent told me that I'm just gonna have to wait until they send down another update.
Summary: Not very loud, bass is lacking badly! I ended up buying a powered sub and hooked it up and now the bass is perfect. I was a little shocked that a 1000w system had such limited volume. But on the other hand the smaller speakers are great and the sound is very precise and crisp. So all in all not a bad system.
Summary: I bought this from Amazon last February. Very easy to assemble and use! It has great sound and looks great! We rarely watch dvds so we haven't used it to much. I went to start a movie for the kids this weekend and it kept spitting out the dvds. I tried both regular and blu ray. Neither one would work. So I got ahold of Samsung to figure out the issue or if there was anything they could do. I hated to spend this much money to only use for a year and it quit working.
Summary: After initial setup this worked perfectly for about a month. At first, I started having issues when I went from standard channels to HD channels, the picture would flicker static only for about 10-20 seconds before the HD channels would load. After checking the setup, changing all the cables, etc. I decided to call Samsung. After going through the standard troubleshooting proceedures with Samsung they decided to have me send it in for repair.
Summary: I'm not very tech savvey so this is a pretty simple review. I have never had a home theater system before and I'm not that great when it comes to technology, wires, and cable setup! After researching and reading several reviews I choose this system and I'm glad I did! This is a great system and the setup was very simple! It has an illustrated start up guide and the wires and speakers are color coded so you know what wire goes with what speaker.
Summary: It may only be this unit, but it has been sent back to Samsung for repair. I could not get a DVD to play. It had great sound in the testing phase and the internet hooked up quickly. Samsung phone support tried very hard to get it to work. Sent back for factory service and am being told there is no defect. I don't think it is operator error. Maybe I am missing something, but I have other BluRay players and have no problems.
