Summary: At first, I was leery about purchasing this thing as it got many bad reviews online. To boot, I picked up a refurbished model for about half the suggested retail asking price, so my anxiety worsened. Once I got this thing hooked up, it put all my fears to rest.
Summary: I purchased this unit after several weeks of debate of using a theater system with multiple speakers. My room is 15x19 and along with this unit I purchased the Samsung LED 55 in. TV. I set the TV on the wall and the soundbar on the console under. It is neat and efficient.
Summary: We got this last year and absolutely love it...the features are great, the sound is amazing, and we have not had a single problem with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality sound bar and blu ray player combo.
Summary: I connected this to a SamSung Plasma and it's perfect. The bass is excellent and the sound quality from the soundbar is great as well. Fairly easy to use interface to connect to Netflix and Pandora. PLayback from the blueray is excellent. I like the look of it and I was using it in about 10 minutes.
Summary: This system is great! However, I will add that your satisfaction with this system will depend upon your expections. What I expected was easy setup, great sound, and a clean streamlined look. The setup took 10 minutes once I unpacked it, two power plugs and two wires and I was done.
Summary: Overall: The Samsung HT-BD8200 is an amazing value given the actual discounted price versus the list price. My local Vermont store was within spitting distance of Amazon, ABT, Crutchfield pricing so I purchased locally a) in case of any problems and b) so I could have a professional install.
Summary: I love this unit! First, surround sound capabilities are pretty much non-existent. I still like the sound the unit provides, better than my TV speakers will ever provide. I don't use the surround feature, having said that, the sound fills the room VERY well.
Summary: The HT-BD8200 delivers on every level. I know it's not a 5.1 system, but the sound quality, e-features, and space soultion more than make up for the lack of stadium rattling noise alot of the 5.1 systems put out.
