Summary: I have to use my blu ray system that I paid $700 for as a regular DVD player. I have owned this for over 4 years and say I only got 2 years if that out of it for blu rays. Its will play very old blu rays but not any new ones. Now its been over 8 months and still no firmware update. Will never buy another samsung product again.
Summary: I bought the HT-BD2E over two years ago. This BR player has a great picture and sound, when it plays the disc. When I first got it, it would not play half the discs I tried. Did some research and the firmware needs to be updated occasionally to keep up with the different disc formats and such. But the firmware is nearly impossible to upgrade. It simply will not recognize the internet. I tried burning the firmware to a disc to update and that didn't work either.
GARBAGE - I will never buy another Samsung Blu-ray player again

Summary: Paired with my Samsung HDTV, the Samsung HT-BD2E home theater system in a box started off great. Eight months later, while watching a Blu-ray disc, the units audio signal became out of sync with the visual signal. Sent it back for repairs and it worked for another six months until the same problem resurfaced. This time it was out of warranty and the cost to repair was half the cost of a new unit.
Pros: Very good sound quality with blue ray surround sound.
Cons: More than the loss of the system is the poor customer service in trying to determine the problem and getting help with the repair. Insulted by the rep, promise to e-mail return process, and after 2 months, I 'm at a loss to restore system. No help
Pros: When it works the picture and sound are incredible. Of course, it's attached to a huge HD flat screen with a home theater system. So how much credit should I give the player???
Cons: Great difficulty playing blu-ray discs. Upgrading firmware doesn't help the problem. It taks a very long time to load. Also, the remote is CRAZY small, with the buttons so close together that I am always pressing the wrong one by mistake.
