Summary: I have to use my blu ray system that I paid $700 for as a regular DVD player. I have owned this for over 4 years and say I only got 2 years if that out of it for blu rays. Its will play very old blu rays but not any new ones. Now its been over 8 months and still no firmware update. Will never buy another samsung product again.
Summary: I bought the HT-BD2E over two years ago. This BR player has a great picture and sound, when it plays the disc. When I first got it, it would not play half the discs I tried. Did some research and the firmware needs to be updated occasionally to keep up with the different disc formats and such. But the firmware is nearly impossible to upgrade. It simply will not recognize the internet. I tried burning the firmware to a disc to update and that didn't work either.
GARBAGE - I will never buy another Samsung Blu-ray player again

Summary: Paired with my Samsung HDTV, the Samsung HT-BD2E home theater system in a box started off great. Eight months later, while watching a Blu-ray disc, the units audio signal became out of sync with the visual signal. Sent it back for repairs and it worked for another six months until the same problem resurfaced. This time it was out of warranty and the cost to repair was half the cost of a new unit.
More Headache Than What's it Cost...Which Was TOOO Much

Summary: We have had the product since January of 2009. Started having problems in March with it not playing some BR dvd's. Samsung sent us the FW upgrade and that fixed things for a little while. Towards the end of summer it again refused to play some BR movies so we called Samsung again and they said they would send us out the "newest FW upgrade" well--they neglected to look in our customer file to see that we had already received the ONE AND ONLY FW upgrade so we got a...
Summary: A Blu-Ray player is, ultimately, only as good as its firmware. On a five star rating system, I'd rate this player 3.5, but the firmware is a good, solid 1. As several other reviewers have mentioned, Blu-Ray discs take three to five minutes to load. While that seems very long to me, this unit is my first Blu-Ray player, so I have no basis for comparison.
Summary: Purchased this product in Nov 08 and it has been nothing but a headache. First the sound quality from the speakers drops in and out. The load times for most blu-rays is over 5min if you are even lucky enough for it to work. I've sent the unit back to Samsung 3 times now and they have offered me an exchange for one of their new models.
Summary: It was of display item at BestBuy for $200 and it apparently plays Netflix so I was conceiving it for my bedroom. After trying it in a store I was horrified by the abysmal sound. It looks nice with double midrange speakers and tweeter in each speaker, kinda Harman Kardon's style but the similarities end here. The fart this piece of junk produced has nothing to do with superb sound of HK speakers. It was so bad so I refused it even for 200.
Summary: In addition to all the problems abive, here are some of my issues: I bought this item specifically because I could match it with my Samsung LCD. Well, I have yet to get the Anynet+ set up to work. As a matter of fact, it sometimes turns the theater system off all on its own, and I have to get the remote to turn the sound back on again. Very frustrating. Then, there is sound quality. As a home theater, sound is great... until it starts skipping.
Summary: I bought this product, set it up, and it does not play my blu ray movies. The remote does not control the unit, the buttons on the front of the unit did not work. I reset the remote and upgraded the firmware on the unit and it still does not work The speakers worked fine though. I called Samsung support and they refused to service the system because all it is is a firmware problem which I have to wait 2-3 weeks for because it hasn't been published on the website yet.
